Are maxed DLand doodles better than maxed DGarden Doodles?

I know to start with, Dreamland doodles are better than other doodles purchased elsewhere, but what about after maxing?

I have maxed my Daisy's Garden Doodle, in dance.

Now I have enough beans, so If I trade him in and buy a Dreamland
doodle, and max that one, will it be any better? (ie, more reliable).
Or is it just that DL doodles are easier to train, to get to max, and once
maxed, they are all the same as other playground doodles?

I certainly don't want to start doodle training over again, but may think
about doing that, if I would gain some advantage.

Doodle training

Once you maxed your doodle's training (the yellow bar is all the way to the right) for the trick (jump, rollover, backflip, play dead, dance, speak) it is very reliable (with that trick) if you left it in an affectionate mode (with the heart). Your beloved doodle will most likely (almost guarantee to) perform the trick you have maxed. However, subsequent (additional use, without feeding and scratching her) may not be successful.

I have stuck with my doodle. I bought a standard doodle from Donalds Dock. No flaws. Toontown central has flaws.

Me thinks the only reason you should buy a doodle from Donalds Dreamland is if you see one in a particular color, body pattern, ears, horns, tail, etc. that you REALLY, REALLY love.

I would not give up my doodle Cuddles. Even though mine is white and I wanted a light blue one (when I got her), I am very happy with my doodle. I even named her after one of my toontown girlfriends.

If you maxed all of your doodles tricks then, me thinks you should definitely keep your doodle. You've already overcame what ever personality deficiencies your doodle had when you bought her. It would be a waste of time to retrain a new one, even from DDL. Unless you REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, can't live without the new one from DDL, or you really dislike the one you have.

If u didn't like the one u have, why did you wait so long to decide you don't like it?

To this point, I COULDN'T upgrade, because I didn't have the bank to do so (I just got the 5000 bean bank this week). I like my doodle, he's fine, but, I would consider trading him in for a new one, if the new one will be more reliable in battle.

I leave my doodle fed, and Happy (or excited), but yet he is still hit-or-miss when it comes to him doing his trick in a battle, sometimes calling 4,5,6 or more times before he performs.

I do have him maxed, but just in 1 trick.. (and it's not just the yellow bar all the way to the right.. it's the bar all the way to the right, 10 TIMES; 1 time for each +1 laff point, starting at +10, up to +20).

I didn't wait so long.. Only had him for a month or two.

It seems that there are the occasional lucky cheaper doodle that performs very well, but all in all the DDL doodles are the guaranteed quality doodle that will perform well.

I had a DD doodle on a small toon (also because of bank size) with some maxed tricks but he just didn't perform like a DDL doodle from another toon.

After some agonizing I did end up trading him in (after I got the 5000 bank) and haven't regretted it. Its just unfortunate to lose the training on the first doodle... but oh well.

I trust my friends in battle.

I have yet to call my doodle in battle.
I rely on my friends and teammates that I'm with. Only two of my 50 friends are Tuneup less.

I don't like it when other toons use the doodle in battle. I take it as an insult especially when they have already seen me whip out my juggling balls and some toons think that their doodle will be better. I also think that the toon choosing to SOS their doodle after another toon has chosen a tune up is also rude.

Quit Horsing Around! is what I say. You are better off finishing the cogs so we won't get hurt again.

My thoughts are doodles are cute, they are to be played with, and fed, and also good for the quick healup in you or your friends estates.

Thanks for the insight, I appreciate it. I've only trained one trick, so it's not that bad. I'll probably trade-up.

I have a maxed DD doodle that performs much more reliably then another I have from DDL....of course he is my tu-less's doodle, so he is called on to perform more, perhaps that helps.

Seriously, I would keep the one you have, I have 6 doodles from various playgrounds and once you have maxed a trick, I see no major performance differences.

Good luck!

Really? I have 6 doodles ... 2 from DD and 4 from DDL. I see a huge difference in performance.

Here is a great example ... The DD doodles get confused much faster when called upon in battle. My doodles are all maxed in jump. The DDL doodles can jump over 10 times in a row without getting confused. My DD doodles get confused after 4 times. And it takes a lot longer for the DD doodle to recover after it's tired. If my DDL doodles are called upon and they are confused, the next time I call them, they perform.

Another thing I noticed is that each doodle has a certain trick they will hit spot on every time when called. Get to know your doodle ... become one with your doodle ... lol ... read their vibes ... and you both shall live happily ever after in the world of Toon Town.

I love doodles!!

Yep I agree... I have 6 doodles and 3 are now DDL. I had wrongly assumed that once the time was put into training a maxed doodle would be a maxed doodle regardless of where it came from. It just isn't so. The DDL doodle will always perform more reliably at ANY stage of training and even after its maxed.

But yes it is true that what affects them more than anything is getting tired or confused. DDL doodles go into these moods less often and come out of them faster when they do.

My DD doodle will perform in battle 9 of 10 times...guess I caught a good one. I agree that each doodle has a trick they do best, you should figure this out for each doodle you have, as they may all be different.

Perhaps the difference is my DD doddle is maxed in all tricks, the more they max, the more reliable they are....meanwhile I have a DDL doodle who is a prima donna and just plain lazy! If she performs 2 of 5 I am suprised!

I have a ttc doodle I've had since I first started.
I think it's been 4 years.
She's awesome and maxed in all tricks.
I have a dd doodle - same as above along with a ddl doodle.

I think it's the luck of the draw.

My daughter recently started playing a bought a doodle from dd - and she jumps once in a while but she's also not maxed. She got a good doodle.

Yes, there are exceptions to the rule but they are far and few between. My wife has a TTC doodle that performs exceptionally well but since then she would buy cheap doodles to end in nothing but frustration. Now she is buying DDL doodles as well. At one time I had a doodle from just about every playground and as I trained them you could see the distinct stairstep of their progression in any given trick with DDL learning the fastest. But even after maxing a trick my DD doodle would perform in battle at best half the time while a DDL would perform about 80% of the time.

The only problem is... are you willing to turn in all that time and effort you spent maxxing a trick for another doodle?

Your doodle's stats do NOT stay if you get a new one.

I repeat: they do NOT stay with the next doodle you buy.

So if you want to keep having a doodle with +20 laff dance, I'd keep it.

Otherwise, you'll be starting fresh with a new doodle- no experience at all.

Question Do you keep your tricks?

Hi I am still new here and I am thinking of getting a DL doodle as soon as the 5000 bean bank is offered in my cattlelog. I have 58 laff points and have been playing about a month so not sure when that will happen.

If I go ahead and buy beg or dance as offered in my cattlelogs will the trick itself transfer to my new doodle? I realize the training will begin all over again but will have have to rebuy the tricks themselves?
