Pie Throwing mysteries

OK so I am sure it is in a post somewhere or maybe I am just going crazy...either are possible. But how do you throw a pie backwards?????

I swear I have tried almost everything but driving backwards. If anyone has any answers I would greatly appreciate them

That happens to me!
Everytime i press back then throw the pie it just slows me down.

There is a way to do it i remember I saw people doing it.

I think its a random thing. Extremely ocasional. Like how nowadays I'm getting a lot of speed boosts from the presents
