New Guide to Top Toons.

Since the other thread is a little out of date, I will make another one holding different information, and having all of the current categories in it.

This is some tips and information about how to get onto the Top Toons list.

Most Cogs Defeated
I would recommend spending all of your time doing the same thing, whether it be doing CFO's all day, or doing CJ's. I find that it is easier if you do not have your suit maxed. Doing runs in the Mint, DA Office, or Factory is your best chance. Their are many cogs in their and it is consistent. In a CFO for example, you might only defeat 20 cogs, while in a Factory you can defeat more than that in quicker time. I think as long as you stick to one thing, whether it being CJ's or VP's or CFO's all day. You have a great shot of making Most Cogs Defeated. I do think that if you do not have your suit maxed it is easier to make this category because you are getting a lot of cogs done when you are trying to get, "Ready for Promotion."


Buildings Recovered
This is another one that will take some time. My best advice is to go for buildings that have either one or two floors, sometimes three but no more than that. The one day I made top toons, I never once got a gold star, I only have a silver star for about 1/2 hour the rest I had either a bronze star or no star. This is because to make top toons it counts the number of buildings, not the number of floors. Someone could take over three cog buildings that are 5 floors and get a bronze star, when it might take you 15 to get that star, but it is ok. This is something that you should either do by yourself, or with one other person. This might take you all day if you are waiting for others to go into a building with you, as long as you have good enough gags you should be fine soloing a one or two story. Another tip, would be that you should try to do 2-3 buildings in a row before you get gags, it saves you time and you don’t have to walk all the way back to where you were. Also one last thing, the best place for this would be in Donald's Dock because there are the most buildings there with the least amount of floors.

Trolley Games Played
This is by far the easiest category. Anyone can do it, no matter you laff or gags. I would suggest going in this alone, it takes less time and you don’t have to worry about the other person doing something you don’t want them to. I would recommend staying in the same trolley in the same district in the same playground. You do not have to wander around and you can just go right back to where you were if you have to leave for a while. The difficulty in playgrounds are from Toontown Central (Easiest) to Donald’s Dreamland (Hardest). The rest fall in-between from order of tasks. (First TTC, then Donald’s Dock, etc.)

Tasks Completed
This is almost impossible if you are above 60 laff. The best way to do this is: Making a new toon that day, and working on that toon the whole day. If you can get your toon to almost the end of Donald’s Dock that is about 80-90 tasks completed, which should be enough to make top toons. It helps if you have another toons with way better laff and gags helping you along the way with the harder tasks. If you are not making a new toon when you try to do this... I wouldn’t recommend trying to make this on your main toon because the tasks are way more time consuming and difficult.

Fish Caught
Fish caught, is also one of the easier tasks to do, if you have enough time. Anyone can fish, it just depends on how long you are willing to do it for and set your mind to it. This is one of the few I have not been on because of how repetitive it is. If you can set your mind to it, you can do it. Try getting about 3000 fish and you will have a great shot of making it on there.

Jellybeans Earned
The only way for you to make this category is through fishing. Yes I know that their are tasks that give you beans, and who can forget the trolley ride? Well, a toon awhile back called Cleopatra got on the Trolley Top Toons for doing about 400-600 and I think one time might have even gotten 800 something. Never once though had she made it onto this Top Toons category for jellybeans. This helps to make this category with a bigger rod; gold rod is the best, because you can catch more expensive fish this way. Other than that you are almost for sure going to be on the Top Toons list if you can make the Fish Caught one. Normally it is the same toons on both.

Cattelog Items Purchased
This is another easier one to make. The things I would recommend are, having all your tasks be Jellybeans and having them ready to be turned in for the 1000-800 Jellybeans they offer. Also your mailbox can not even hold 40 items so obviously to get the 100+ it takes to get on there you will have to gift to others. The best way to do this is to buy the cheapest thing over and over and over again. Trust me I know, I made monthly toons for this category. You should just keep gifting it to everyone on your list. Have some unites of Jellybeans available if you can. You should use all of the JB's you have because you can always get more quickly. As long as you have lots of JB's you can make this list easily. (If you aren’t afraid to over spend.)

Gifts Given
This goes right along with Cattelog Items Purchased. I would just give you all the tips that I said in that one, which is right before this. If you can make that one, you will probably be on this one.

Most Races Won
The easiest way to make this is to trade off wins with a friend or someone you know. Many people that are on the list though might be racing using two toons so that means you just have to work a little harder if you do not have the access to that. Trying to go with toons in Nutty River, or any toons that you do not know is not suggested if you can help it. Their are many reasons why it is bad to go with people you do not know. You do not have to be a good racer to be on this list, as long as you can trade wins or play two toons and let yourself win, you should be fine.

Sellbot V.P. Victories
To make this category you can do this in Nutty River, or try to go with a bunch of friends. Having less than 4 is going to be a lot of work. It will be difficult to make this category unless you have your suit maxed, not impossible just very hard. It is pretty straightforward, just get into an elevator with toons and win.

Cashbot C.F.O. Victories
This is similar to the V.P. except you should be able to win in Nutty River and that it is easier to just stay in there rather than trying to get a bunch of friends to go in a different district.

Lawbot C.J. Victories
Same advice as the other two above this one. Except only in river would this be recommended to go. You need about 7-8 friends for the run to go fast and smooth, in Nutty River you can get good toons most of the time, since everyone is already 100+ laff.

IMPORTANT: It has been reported that toons who switched districts did not get full credit for all of the activities they did. (One toon had done about 500 cogs in Nutty Summit, then switched into Nutty River and did another 500 cogs and did not make Top Toons.) Switch districts at you own risk, it has not been confirmed if it truly does not keep track of what you did if you switch districts.

Wow great information. I think I might actually try and make top toons for buildings now.

The other thread was not out of date. I didn't edit it because there was nothing else worth being added to the list. Defeating the Lawbot & Bossbot bosses for the top toons are pretty much self explanatory and not needed to be reinstated in the guide.

More than three categorys on your list are no longer even apart of the Top Toons. So, I do have to still say that yours is out of date.

To add to that, you do not have anything on yours about gifting.

Well, no its not out of date if all I have to do is edit a few things. Gifting is also pretty self explanatory and doesn't need any tips because I'm sure people know exactly what they're doing to achieve top toons for that.
