I have no sound, and I guess about more than half the people in toontown have sound. I have toons say "You stink!","I think you should choose sound", "You stink!" . I went into the factory yesterday, and the group I was with use sound the whole time and they went "Ha ha!" "Lets use sound" . I said, "Sorry, I can't". Of coruse they say; "Yes." " You stink!" . I got NO ex. in the factory. I saw two threads here saying "100 reasons not to choose sound" but, I can't find any reason not too. All my other toons have sound due to this. But really it's no fun...


Anybody else?

EDIT: Also I get blamed once they all use sound, all the cogs are on red and if one more sound person used sound they'd got it. Again with the bad luck D:

So your going to get beaten? Soundless toons unite! I hate when people say the feel bad about no having sound.. just say to yourself: I have skill! I have a soundless and some other toons with sound. When I see someone who is soundless in my soundful toon in any factory, I say Lets use sound, No problem, Lets go! Then they smile, just be strong! Don't let the mean people with sound beat you! They say that because they have NO skill. The are probably jealous.

Soundless toons make the tooniverse unique. Being soundless gives a new twist to the game and makes it more challenging for you. Yes, there are grievers but there are also awsome toons too. I have met such wonderful toons that appreciate me being soundless. Toons have courage and strenge when they never let the stinking get to them and never quit.
Personally, I just laugh at the people who "dislike" me. Its their loss that they don't get to do the factory, mint, building, DA, ect. with me.

Just my opinion. :P

r u kidding me?! Soundless toons are great! I am so proud to be soundless unlike most of the people who choose to be dropless.

It's very much true, a lot of toons with sound truely despise toons without it. It seems like they would stink someone away to save 15 minutes in a Mint/DA/B9, but the reality is that those toons are scared of soundless toons. They have trained themselves to rely 100% on sound, and knowing a soundless toon in the group means a couple less cog groups to sound away, they don't want to have to think in battle. They're afraid of having to use stratagy and shows that they are inexperienced, poor players. And of course, completely mean for stinking someone, knowing there is a real person behind the screen! It will take a while, but you'll get used to putting up with mean toons. Sell should be fairly easy, even for a soundless, because the group won't run out of sound gags. So I reccomend maxing that suit first if you haven't planned that already to get some more laff points for when you encounter Bullion greifers.

Out of all my toons I think my soundless toon, recently maxed in Sell and Cash HQs is my favourite. The funniest memory I had while playing on him, was watching the other three toons switch from sound to lure gags, after I told them I couldn't. However, Sarge wasn't my first toon, he was my fourth. Playing three toons before, helped me finally develop the "skill" to fight the cogs, as well as read the levels and understand different strategies to destroy them. I don't think soundless is difficult at all, if you have a friend or two you are working with. Although, I do personally hate it when a soundless toon or any other toon doesn't have maxed gags. I really don't think it takes a lot of effort to max trap or drop, especially now with invasions and such. Anyways thats my two cents on soundless, and to the toons stinking you in Sell HQ, that is really pathetic. So don't let them get to you, after all you logged on to ToonTown to have some fun.

Having unmaxed gags is not a soundless problem. I like their gags above quicksand a big weight, but most toons are reluctant to go in with a toon with sound up to elephant.

You know what's funny?
All toons start out without sound and nobody seems to have a problem with it.

Being without whatever gag you choose, personally for me is no big deal.
I'll do a factory, mint, office or cog course with a soundless.

2 fogs and an elephant will take out 10s which will leave 2 11s and the soundless can always drop on one of the 11s, leaving 1 cog to battle.

Even if there are 2 soundless, they can each take out a cog with their drop - again using strategy and teamwork.

I have one of the best players as a friend on pixanator who is soundless and there's no way I wouldn't battle without him, plus he recently just maxed Boss.

I personally do not have a soundless toon (yet) but I would make one and if people didn't want to battle with me, my attitude would be the same as the OP... their loss, not mine

I've gone into a Factory with two soundless, and a lureless (Along with me, who didn't have Sound, Lure, or Trap at that time), and guess who caused us the most problems.

Yes. The lureless.

Lureless isn't bad, but you know, but he caused a ton of problems. Not that he didn't lure, he just sounded his way through the factory.

I have sound now, but I know that everyone needs to be treated fairly! =3 So if we ever meet, let's do a factory together.

Depends on how much free time you have on your hands I guess. And whether you can beg your way into NR. Personally, I'm finding it quite challenging to max Trap and Drop. Even with safes, Drop is such an inaccurate gag and Trap requires you to take a beating if you try to work it alone. Maybe with one good friend, you could work this out quickly, but everyone wants to work on their own characters, y'know?

I know how annoying it is for Sounded toons to try to run mints, DAs or courses with soundless toons that don't have maxed gags. My first toon is soundless, but I didn't know what an anti-soundless environment Toontown was when I made the choice. Oh well. I'll just have to endure the stinking and accept that 3 of every 4 mints, DAs, and courses will leave me abandoned as soon that the other toons learn I don't have sound.

My only request is this: if I climb on the Sellbot factory elevator alone and you choose to join me, don't throw an Aoogah out, lose me laff, then bail on me. I don't need anyone's help in the factory and, with a bag full of Lure, Throw, Squirt, and Drop I can easily run a full factory alone (assuming I stop in the Lava and Paint Mixer rooms). I'm always open for a factory partner and I don't care if you use Sound. But bring your Toon Ups because one toon with Sound won't cut it. I'll take my organic Lure any day

Well, that... but also, I have a method for maxing drop if you're soundless.

Sounding can actually help out a soundless toon. How you may ask? Let me show you...

1. First, only focus on drop as soon as you get it, not your tasks. Try this in places like TTC, DD, even DG.

2. When you get to anvil, try doing more cog battles. If your group in buildings and factories and such are sounding, that's good. Make sure they don't use up all of their gags and if possible, just enough to leave only one cog.

3. Attack the highest cog! Use your anvil/big weight/safe and squish it! That cog should be destroyed. It works best on high level cogs, so try mints or vps.

4. Keep on doing it. I ended up maxing drop third, after throw and squirt.

P.S. Forget about those toons. Most won't care if you don't have sound, even if they're sad about it. You can always go with friends too.
