Drop Vs. Toonup

I'm stuck.

I have to decide on either Drop or Toon Up.

On my higher laff toons (105 & 110), they both didn't have trap.

Toonup:
It is usually very easy to train. It helps toon too. You wouldn't survive a vp, cfo, etc... w/o toon up. On the other hand, it makes you look really bad to tu constantly and it CAN be hard to train since people will want you to use another gag.

Drop:
Its difficult to train. No ones wants you to use a sandbag in the battles. On the plus side, its not a problem once you get the piano/safe. It does a lot of damage but misses quite often. I also have trap and that does the same amount of damage.

Any ideas? Would you rather go with a toon that has drop or tu?

Its the ongoing debate on last gag track to choose.... I would go TU, it doesn't just help other toons BTW... for every toon that stays happy and healthy it multiplies your chances of success as well (think of how many gags 1 toon is worth ). Besides which, I still don't see a great need for one more way to kill a cog... even with mass Big Cheeses in the CEO we just pull out a cpl of lvl 7's and you're done.

Having said all that, its still a personal choice that everyone has to make for their own reasons.

Good Luck!

Since your other 2 toons have toon-up it might be fun to do something really different.

I don't have toon-up. I understand toon-up is great but When I first made my toon I couldn't decided which damage causing gag I didn't want so I decided not to get toon-up because I just wanted all the other ones more. Especially after playing a bit, it seemed like everyone had toon-up and I figured I could just train my doodle and I seen people SOS who gave toon-up & toon-up unites. So I didn't think it was a big deal not to have it. Iv never had any problems not having it. Except a few toons have said to me ''I think you should choose toon-up'' when we are not fighting cogs so I know what they are trying to say. Which is annoying cause I don't tell them I think they should have chosen sound or whatever they don't have but only 1 got really mean to me & I don't know why because I didn't even know the toon, never fought cogs together or anything. Iv never had someone go sad because I don't have toon-up and I like my gags.

On the other hand on my next toon Im getting toon-up since its the one I don't have on my main toon. So I don't think either one is a wrong choice!

I know I'm allot of help. LOL

Its really up to whatever you want but I figured I would post since Im someone who didn't choose toon-up.

I think I might just go TU-less. I need to work on my doodle though. I'll have to think about it.

Thanks!

Just a warning -- TU-less toons get shuffled and griefed. Not as badly as soundless, but a reality. I used to run with a friend who was TU-less and we often had a difficult time filling elevators, especially in DA.

Yeah.. I cfo all the time tho so it shouldn't be hard to get some unites and train my doodle.

Thanks for the warning. I'm going to have a hard time deciding.

Tune up of course

Melody,

Most definitely chose tune-up. It makes your friends happy. I know that I feel safer being with a toon with tune-up. I'd hate to be the only toon in a group with tune up.

Drop also bites. If I had known better I would have chosen trap, and go dropless. Trap train tracks are fun to watch.

Me thinks that the high dive is cool to watch... and a real life saver also, for your friends of course. Hopefully one will tune you up also.

The Toontanic is boring, and still misses a lot, and really bites when at the last second someone uses hypno-goggles.

Dont be sad, get tune up.

Even a not so smart piggie like me knows that if I need to choose between drop and tune-up. I would go with tune up. What good is drop when you are about to go sad? Pray that it will hit. Ha, don't count on it. Most like you'd be sent packing back to the playground.

Ugh.
I know people will 100% hate me for this but pick T-u.
I did not use it alot.
Becasue other peaople had toon up, i did not has to use it as much.
Trust me, it takes a while to train.
Took me 2 years to finish it.
There isont always a time a toon needs LOADS of health.
P.S
Trap is a SMALL winsy bit stronger than drop. Tho it takes up two gags to do.

Pick TU it is DEFINATELY more useful then drop. Drop misses ALOT.(BTW I think TU is the hardest gag to train)

I'm leaning more towards TU now. I just did a bunch of factories and everyone said "I think you should choose TU" during the dance. So I guess I better go with that.

Thanks for helping!

Pick toon-up because if you were in bldg with a weakling how will you heal him if he gets damaged and drop mostly misses so i think it would be better is you pick toon-up almost everyone has toon-up!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though you're thinking about toon-up, I say drop, because you already have two toons with toonup. Do something different for a change? That's what I'm doing on another one of my toons. Great chance to train your doodle too.

I made the bad mistake of choosing drop- it is quite hard to max, and doesnt have much of a stratagy.

I don't agree with the bolded part. You don't really NEED toon up, occasionally you do. I'd choose drop over toon up, which was my final gag choice, but choosing toon up over drop is cool too. I just like the drop gag better, I think its a rad gag.

Plus, being tuless I find it easier to solo buildings and stuff and I really rarely get griefed. And for the record, maybe 2 people died in my 3 years and half of playing toontown because I don't have toon up, and the only reason they died was because we were being silly in a 4 man.

Dropless is radical too cuz you don't have to go through training that darn drop! Man, drop was soooo hard to train but only because I never tried to train it.

Someone a couple posts above me said "everyone has toon up" but isnt that more the reason not to get it?

Either, way its up to you not someone else! Whatever you choose, have fun with it!
