Building TU and Lure gags

We have been building up TU and Lure gags a bit quicker lately. We lure all the cogs we fight even if doing the 'help a toon' tasks. If you at least have small lure and tu for the newbies then you can help them and get points also. I lure even when I"m fighting alone and have gags that can easily kill. You can use lower gags to kill lured cogs so therefore make less runs back to the gag shop.

This is what we've done for building TU when there are just two of us [we've used it even in 5 stry building with a 109 and 76 laff toon]

If doing 3/4 floor buildings: go thru first floors quickly with no damage. Then do on top floor as it states in 5th floor building below.

5th floor buldings: We blast thru the first couple of floors with sound or combo throw, squirt, drop; luring also as we go.

On the 4th, we kill the first set out of the elevator. We then might decide to 'play' with the next set of cogs depending of course on what gags we have. You can small trap one cog while the other toon drops on the second cog. Yes you will get hit, but then one lures both cogs and the other tu. You can train gags a bit also long as you don't mind the hits and your friend has enough tu.

On top/5th floor, we lure/kill so many cogs leaving one or two for the very end. If you start with 4 cogs, you can lure/trap and or kill two of them. You'd take hits from unlured cogs, but can lure them while friend TU's. Then you also TU your friend while they might kill one of the remaing cogs.

The new cogs that came out of the elevator can be lured or just killed. What you want to be left with is one cog at the end...so any scene you want to use to get there will work. The main focus is gaining TU pts.

With the last cog...who was lured and is now awake, you kill very slowly, allowing hits to be taken so you can tu. We even both pass so the cog will hit us therefore we can use more TU. This can go on for as long as you tolerate it or you aren't getting any more pts for TU. With an invasion and being on the 5th floor, you can get 200 TU pts easily. If you have the time or so close to getting those extra tu pts and lure pts, this can work.

If of course you are a low laff, you have to be most careful cause some of the cogs do pack a large punch. Of course, a safer/saner way would be to have two others coming along for the ride. One could be for backup in case the others needed quick kills or TU. Other toons might do small trap or other gags to build them also, but the main emphasis is on TU pts.

I don't recommend doing this with randoms...although we have had fun with randoms who quickly understand that we are following a certain pattern when we have worked on other gag training.

almost maxxed in TU

That's what i did with a friend when he was training Toonup.

We would wait for an invasion to start before we went to the top floor (usually they were 3 or 4 stories, since he was only like 40 laff). And we would kill off a couple cogs since we didn't want him to die. Then the rest we would either pass (didn't work TOO well, since the cogs would attack him alot) or i would hit a cog with a lower level gag. Like a level 1 sound. We'd be on the top floor for a good half hour or 45 minutes until he got 200 points.

I always thought lure and TU were the easiest to max, because you [should] use them often as they help you win pretty much everything. I don't really see the point in trying to train it, go ahead anyway, but I would concentrate more of trap or drop because these are slow gags. Unless you have a real big obsession with them...

TU was my 5th gag to max. With so many people who have TU, it's hard to actually get to use it that often.
