So... toon-up less toons... your thoughts?
Let me start off by saying I'm going to be TU-less. This means during battle, I won't be able to shake a stick at you & magically heal you. Its sad but true.
Anyways, there is a lot of hostility towards us. People see us, think "Oh, I'm not safe with them!" and avoid us. They don't VP with us, CEO with us, do buildings with us, you name it. Even if you are a 132 laffer, I would think most people would STILL not be friends with you. People are truly freaked out about being seen with a TU-less toon. Same with soundless people. Really, I would rather do a CEO with maxed TU-less toons than with maxed toons who have TU. Their main goal is to go through the CEO without getting hit, but I would think people with TU would be okay with being hit, cause they could just TU later. I think, as long as the percentage of TU-less toons remain low, TT is actually a better place. If everyone was TU-less, that would be horrible. So that means keep using/creating toons with Toon up, please! But be nicer to TU less. Here are my top 10 reasons for being TU-less. Your thoughts? Keep in mind, I'm thinking of maxed TU-less toons. Which is what I will be one day (soon). xD 1. 98% of toons have toon up. This means, there is a pretty good chance who ever you go into battle with will also have TU. That means, if someone gets hit, two other people are itching to toon him up first. That equals less points for you. 2. Maxed TU-less toons are DEADLY. 3. TU-less toons can drop ships on cogs, AND run them over, AND make a pig sing really loudly, AND tempt them with a presentation. That equals instant death, with a little help from you. 4. Isn't the whole point of buildings is to make it out ALIVE? If you spend a turn tooning up someone, that means the cog also has an extra turn to attack. Instead, we kill the cog. 5. Say it with me now-- D O O D L E S. 6. You so know we will be loaded with unites & SOS toons. We value our lives, too. 7. Soloing is a breeze. 8. We are a lot nicer, because we know what it feels like to be ignored/stinked. 9. We plan ahead, because we know we can't toon you up (and you probably won't toon us up as retaliation). We know we need your help, and therefore we try and keep you alive. And if push comes to shove, refer to reasons 5 & 6. xD 10. Threes a crowd. Two TU-full toons + one TU-less toon = everyone's full laff. And on a personal note, you can't really trust anyone on Toontown to help you out. As much as it would be nice, we can't. I have died at the hands of my Secret Friends, and that's pretty much as close to friends-friends as possible. Being TU-less, for me, symbolizes independence. But I love getting help though. xD |

I get where you're coming from...a lot of my friends are TU less. But.. What if lets say im in the VP and everyone but me and a TUless toon our on our side. Im down to 5 laff. Most people would get pretty mad.. |

1) Try to load elevators with more than just a few people(4 for Buildings; 7 for Bosses) 2) Carry some TU Unites. 3) Buy a good doodle, train it well. If you do all three of these things, then you are still being helpful to other people. Also, I realized one of the things the OP said. When you are TU-less, remember that you can NOT down others for being TU-less. You said that if we were all TU-less, it would be a bad place. I disagree with that part, because I think it would just cause more teamwork. We would all have to play to NOT get hit, and keep eachother alive with Unites and good strategy. Remember, you can't just be selfish when you are TU-less. You still need to protect your groups any way possible. LBC |

Im saying basically: Lets say you and I are in VP, mmkay? And everyone on our side is dead but us.. I have LOW laff and you have high laff because I can toon you up. I guess it would hurt the toon [like LBC said] it would become selfish. Because to the toon it wouldn't seem fair to TU and not be TU'd. :P |

I would just use unites... SOS toons... call on my doodle. Lure and kill, lure and kill. Works fine. & yeah, having no TU would inspire more teamwork. Right now, we all just basically think "If I get hit, its OKAY because I'll get tooned up." If there was no TU and we got hit, it would cause panic & make us kill the cog faster. |

I love helping you Cari. Even if I have a close call or two. I was think about being Toon-Upless too with the point of being independent. The only reason I chose toonup, though, is because I didn't want to be held down by the fact that training drop and trap on one toon would take so long. I wanted to get to the 100's with a breeze because I am impatient. Hehehe!
But, I will continue to help you with your trap and your drop, when you get it. ![]() - Quack Lack A-Tack Last edited by QLAT; 03-19-2008 at 12:44 PM. |

). I basically just stopped working drop on Danny Two(toon-upless) though, lol. I don't really need it ![]() I chose being toon-upless on my second toon, because I never really used it on Danny anyway. I honestly rarely use lure or toon-up no matter what toon I'm on. I've never played on a toon that had both, but I'm sure if I had a toon with both lure and toon-up, I'd just throw, squirt, trap and drop all the time. I don't feel toon-up is all that needed, since, like you said, practically everyone has it anyway. I didn't really get shunned much for being toon-upless, but I did get a decent amount of grief when I was in the lower laff range(Less than 110). I think people should just look past the gag a toon's chose not to have, and just play the game. |

We have two toons; one is TU-less and the other sound-less. Contrary to what you might think, both have hardly every been stinkied. I think the general acceptance level has changed a lot from a couple of years ago, based on posts I've observed over the past couple of months.
I agree with the TU-less reasons which is also why I chose TU-less, but there are a couple of situations that I cannot enjoy. 1. We have two accounts, and one of the toons is my daughters, and the other my sons. With one of them TU-less they cannot (happily) do buildings together which would be fun. The same situation can be said for any single SF. 2. Frequently our soundless toon finds herself in a mentoring situation with 3 lesser toons who either do not have TU or do not yet have it fully developed. This often happens with the VP, for example. She'll have to use speedchat carefully, make the most of high level lures, and it sure is nice to be able to juggle and dance to keep the others alive. These, and you need to keep in mind not to get in elevators with only one other toon. That can sometimes be frustrating as it is hard to explain via speedchat that you do not have TU. |

I am a toonless toon, with max gags and yes am very deadly gogs run in fear when they see my walking along a street
. I like to recover building on my own and been a top toon many many times. The main reason why I went toonless because I was fed up with other toons fighting over whom going to use toon up. I don’t have many friends with high laffs but who needs them .I have used lure and my doodle a few times. But if I do go in a building with just one other toon I do say let’s use toon up sorry I can’t one more ok. So the next time you see a little brown doggie called Style running along a street say Hi. |

I agree!! Some of my Sf's are TU-less and in fine with it! Actually I think its better because u have more ATTACK gags! So u get to kill the cogs before they cab hurt the other toons!
P.S. In so sry I haven't been helping u!! One of my sf's quit so I'm working out that right now...sry and another one if my sf's are going to quit so...I'll help u when I can! |

TU less
I don't even check toons gags when I go in an elevator. I figure how they play should not be based on what gags they have. If you are with a good group that knows strategy than you very seldom use toon-up. So basically I have no preference to rather a toon is toon-up less or Sound-less or whatever. Use good strategy and it will always work out. I have toon-up on both my toons but never use it unless its just me and a friend in a building or factory, then it seems to come in handy
