I don't know what the Virtual Fortress, or OS is, sadly. But if it's about memory I may know what you're talking about.

The first thing you should probably do is to look it up online, see if you can buy more memory (the OS type, or whatever it's called) for your computer/laptop.

Try closing some processes...

Hi Adam, I was experiencing this same issue earlier today and I was able to resolve it. Page memory references the memory thats allocated to programs in your processes, you can see how much page memory is being used up by a particular program by hitting ctrl-alt-del and checking out your task manager. Here you can also end the processes thus freeing up some page memory for TF. In Particular, if you have any anti-virus software installed you might want to disable it before running your game as anti-virus software tends to be a huge page memory hog. There is some more explanation here:

Let me know if this helps you out!

Oh thank you! Now do you know of a way to suspend an EXE while the game is running and launch it back when I'm done playing?

You can't "Suspend" a program - only stop it and then start it again.

If you're in the middle of a game, that take up the whole screen, you could try hitting ALT + Tab key to go to desktop, then follow Maxskunk advice on the taskmanager.

Toontown uses less memory when minimized. If your computer is dragging and virtual memory low, minimize TT, clear some applications or processes, and then open the window again.
