So um, I found where you can log in, I used my e-mail adress as my username, is that correct? And I did my password. Then, it said the page was unauthorized. What am I doing wrong?

if its a linksys router...

Clear the username box and type admin for the password.
Thats the default for Linksys routers.

For some reason the user's email address gets autofilled. That box should be empty.

Okay, well, my router is Westell VersaLink Model 327W. When I go to the website, I'm not able to find the MTU stuff. I have been searching for the answer to my TT problem for awhile, and this might be the answer, but I need to know where to find it before I can play!

when you log into your routers site 192.168.1.1 you will see a basic setup section you need to check there and it will probably say automatic next to it. that is where i found mine. and i was getting booted every 5 minutes at least. now i am able to be onand be in river for as longas i want without getting booted. thank you so much for posting this thread as i was ready to purchase a new computer to try to fix it.

I was about to abandon my 108 maxed everything toon, and cancel TT. It always ended with tears for my son. We tried upgrading the ram (fixed the stickies), wireless, wired, laptop, desktop -TT suport was a joke. This work!! In just seconds you solved a problem that has been driving us crazy for months! THANK YOU. Buy the way, may address for my Linksys WRT54g was 192.168.1.105. Thanks again!

I have a linksys router, model WCG200. I can log in to my router fine, but I can't find where to change the MTU settings. Am I totally missing something, or is there something else I should look for?

I'm not familiar with your particular router, but I do know that Linksys has downloadable User Manuals and Instruction Guides on their support site for their different models. There is also a Linksys support forum where you can ask for and find help with questions and issues that you are having with your router. Their FAQ's are also very detailed and helpful. Perhaps you can find some more info there about your particular model. Good luck!

Why are you asking users to Hard Reset their router? I think you mean Power Cycle, since Hard Reset is when you revert changes.

All routers should reboot after any changes made to any configurations made and removing the power cable for 10 seconds is more than enough, not 10 minutes.

Though increasing the MTU can result in packet loss.
