Your not gonna maxx if you keep sitting there complaining!

I've noticed so many people complaining oh fishing is too long or it's boring. So many excuses and it's funny because I maxxed fishing after 4 years. Only because I never fished. I'm now on my fith year of toontown and last summer I got my last 12 fish in one month! I maxxed and got 129 laff and now there's golf and BBHQ. But you probably haven't maxxed because you think fishing one hour a day will make it. Sorry but that's not gonna happen. So stop complaining and get off boss one month over summer and fish hours a day at least 8! I got top toons a few times just fishing for a month. Everyone knows(maybe not but...) that the last fish will be the longest. My last fish took me 5-8 days and 8 hours a day! So stop complaining!

lol, i dont complain. im not a TT freak and just go around trying to max everything at one time. i take it one step at a time

I honestly can't bother with maxing fishing xD.

I've always been shocked that there aren't skillers out there.

Off-topic: With the gold rod- You can catch ANY fish, right?

That is correct. Many species require to atleast have a gold rod, while some rare species are caught easier with a lower rod. But in any case, gold rod can catch ANY fish!

What do you mean "many species require to atleast have a gold rod"? The only one that you absolutely need the gold rod for is the Bull Dog fish

Unfortunately, many people don't have the patience or time to spend eight hours in front of the computer doing a boring task with no results. After about fifteen to twenty buckets, heck I get bored. I just caught the half moon fish as a bet against my friend, and I was falling asleep while doing it. (Which she won.)

You can say that factories/mints/DAs/CGCs/VP/CFO/CJ/CEO/Racing/Gardening/Golfing is boring, but all of those have guarenteed results. Fishing it the only uncertainty of the extra laffs. Also, eight hours is a lot of time to spend fishing, when I could adhere that eight hours to another task for better results.

Has not been proven. Some people believe that if a fish can be caught with, let's say a twig rod, then you have an easier time catching it, then with a heavier fish catching rod. (They are also less JB heavy =]) Like with a twig rod, there is only 38 possible fish, so the chance of catching rare four pound or less fish should go up.

It's a choice, it's like saying you have to have sound. Or you have to have lure. It's a choice.

So if I don't want to max fishing, well I don't want to. If I want to complain about how boring fishing is, well I will.

Wow, it took you 8 days to find your last fish? A little hard to believe, but hey you did fish for hours a day and luck was most certainly on your side. I have been fishing for my last fish for months.

Nobody will think that he will get his fish in one hour, but 8 hours a day? Most of the people have better things to do... Im not gonna sit there 8 hours everyday just so i can get one more laff point. I don't really care that fishing is long and boring, what i really hate about fishing is that its all about luck, and i don't think its fair. One of my friends fished months for the grizzly bear, when my cousin got it at random when he just fished for jellybeans. That stinks, it isn't fair that its all about luck, im not even gonna bother unless i have nothing else to do in toontown. If i could know that it takes even 50k fishes to get each fish, but i will know that then i will get it FOR SURE, then i would fish when i have time, and count it so i can know when i get it and how many more i need (i counted my races too). Golf was long and boring too, just like fishing, but i knew that i will get my laff points for sure. What i hate about fishing, is that you can never be sure, and you can never know how many more you need. If you think about it, then there is even a chance that you will never get it, nobody can promise that you will, so that takes all my motivation (i hope thats the right word) for fishing.

sometimes the trick with fishing, is that if u fish a lot and u find squat, take a break and i dont mean a 1 hour break. i mean take a break for like a week or 2 and work on ur tasks and then come back and fish again. i came back and was trying to get the Bull Dog Fish. chances r it takes 25 buckets, but mine only took 3 buckets to catch it!

For my last 3 fish I would spend hours trying for them and then got all 3 when I just had a few minutes to fish that day and I decided to try my luck with fishing for that fish.

That was my experience with maxing my toon. But fishing is very random. I've seen people catch the devil ray on first cast ever others that catch it as their last after almost 100K.

Golf, racing, suits, gardening you all can see progress but fishing you can't. So that is what everyone complains about. Make it more even.
