16. You tell yourself that you are feeling lucky. You see, the word luck is a very common word when it comes to fishing, and frankly the fish are quite tired of being the luck of someone's day. It becomes redundant after awhile...so therefore you will not be able to catch anything good if you are feeling lucky.

17. You are fishing in a quiet district. Some people think that if there is not a lot of people, the fish will not be scared and they will come out to let you catch them. Well this is almost the extreme opposite, fish love the quiet, for they love to sleep (hence phrase sleeping with the fishes). If someone randomly jumps to a district hoping to "feel lucky" see 16.

18. Fish like collecting boots. One pond may have 500 or more boots. Everytime you cast, you have <number of boots> divided by <number of fish>
to get 87% of catching a boot. EVERY TIME. The only reason this is so is because the fish said so. Deal with it.

19. To get the percent of catching an ultra rare, you take <percent of catching a fish> multiplied by <percent of catching ultra rare fish> to equal 0.000000000000000000000000000001% of catching an ultra rare. Again the fish don't care about you.

21. Why are the ultra rare fish rare? Because they are nearly extinct due to their slow breeding rate and Toons hunting the down for: The Grizzlys' fluffy thick blubber and fur, the Grand Pianos' golden keys(lol), the devil rays' special ultra redness, the Concords' well, concord, the All-Stars' unlimited shines and the Full Moon is fully made of Lumpy Cheeses.(But due to the drop in population people now get Lumpy Cheeses from The Big Cheeses)

22. Since the fish are 'spies' they hide in their secret underground lair where they upgrade the Cogs. So the useless and powerless ToonTown Central fish stay up in the pond.

23. The fish don't like jellybeans. When they are bored, they collect the jellybeans and stuff them in jars that float around the pond. Only the evil clown fish like jellybeans especially the red ones which make their noses grow larger. Thats why only Clown Fish can be caught.

24. You are the unluckiest toon in the world. There is no way to change that except to do 100 bullion mints and collect enough gold to blind the fish with its shininess. Then they will be at your command.

25. The full moon fish only comes out during the full moon. (obviously) Unfortunately Toontown only has a full moon once every 30 days and it only lasts for a split second. They also only prefer certain ponds during this time. Drat, I forgot which ones.

26. The Devil ray can only get its evil powers from toxic waste in the Sellbot HQ pond. It spends most of its time there.

27. The grizzly bear-acuda loves jellybeans but he is usually so vicious that he snaps the line on your fishing rod. And he is too heavy from blubber to be supported by the rod anyway.

28. The grand piano tuna does special underwater concerts every few minutes which is why it is too busy to look for jellybeans.

29. The concord has a very unique taste. Jellybeans will alter a jellyfish's taste slightly which is why regular Jellyfish smell taste like liver. The concord wants to keep his taste so he avoids jellybeans unless they are concord grape flavor.

30. The Ultra rares love boots! That's where they live. So when you catch a boot, you have destroyed their home! Therefore, they will run away and refuse to even look at you ever again!!!!!!! Better hope you haven't gotten a boot.

33. Holey Makerals have far too many holes in them. 99.99% of the time you cast for one you simply go in and out of one of it's many holes!

34. Concord doesn't like any cog killing toons! For ever cog you have killed, your chances of catching it lower by 20%.

35. Grizzly bear fish just don't like you or your jellybeans. They only bite on something more worthwhile like a Cog who is fishing with a gear. Perhaps you could steal it from a cog.....
