Rats. Wish I'd kept track on Fluffy...I have no clue how many fish she caught before snagging that last troublesome Full Moon... I can list my last five in order...would that be the least bit useful? (66: Concord; 67: Old King Crab (66 and 67 in same day); 68: Grand Piano; 69: Grizzly; 70: Full Moon.) Full Moon was by far the most difficult.

I would venture to guess that most people simply get lucky with at least a couple of the rares...for instance, my little 65 laffer who's barely fished at all already has the All-Star, Holy Mackeral, and Concord. I'll try to keep track once he hits 60 fish.

66- Grizzly - 34k
67- Concord - 2k
68- Devil Ray - 150 fish
69- Full Moon - 25k
70- Grand Piano - 12k

Overrall for all fish: 82kish. I had already done a little more than 10,000 and had 65 fish.

I think fishing is all about numbers as Vick (Good Ol' Lefty) stated yet some people get lucky with the rares.

Yes, I am still doing this analysis, I am just waiting to get more data sets so that I can come up with a more thorough conclusion.

Marking that I have added all the above to the database.

What I would like to know besides the districts but were they caught in the playground ponds or on the streets? Where should I spend most of my time for my last 5? Thanks

I really don't think the pond matters much. If you're looking for the Full Moon it's just a matter of luck if you catch it on Lullaby Lane or DDL PG. If we could gather all the data for every full moon that was ever caught (which is totally unrealistic) I think we would find a pretty equal number between the ones caught in LL and the ones caught in DDL PG. In my opinion most of what matters is the district. One district may have the full moon availably within 10 buckets, 5 districts may have it available in 50 buckets, 10 may have it available in 100 buckets, and one may have it available in 3 buckets... just a thought.

I thought the chance to get it was made more by percents, not how much fish you've caught or species you've gotten. there may be some equation that determines the percent chance that you'll get a certain kind of fish. but depending on wat pond your at your chances may be increased/reduced, and the amount of species you've already gotten is added into the equation. but no matter wat, any fish can be caught by any laff level/species gained, its just that the more species you have or the more fishes you've fished or the pond your at may affect the likely the chance will be. i kno, probalby confusing, but i did my best

Thanks CcE, that does help, and thanks Bongo, you do have an interesting point to consider. You both have given me more data I can use, which does take some of the unknowningness out of it.

All the above - Check

I have added all of the above into the database.

I am still doing this analysis, I just need more people to post their numbers. Im going to give it a few more weeks for people to post more fish numbers, then I will analyse the data and post my conlcusion(s).

Bumping up!

I will be doing my analysis within the next few days. If there are any other people that would like to have their fishing numbers included, please post soon. I would greatly appreciate it.

The more fishing numbers I get the more of a "true" outcome or result we will have.

Awesome thread. I am however a little confused on the Fish Position thing. What exactly is that?
