Maxed doodle tricks

I have a little problem.

I worked for weeks to get my doodles tricks maxed, doing it myself not with a program like many people have.

I have 6 doodles on open, only one of which is not a DDL doodle (my daughter is too attached to her first doodle to give her up). So, of the 5 DDL doodles, 4 of them have 5 tricks fully maxed: Jump, Beg, Play Dead, Dance and Speak. The doodle who isn't maxed on all 5 is half a bar away on Play Dead, and has only a little on Jump because I traded an old lazy doodle in after I maxed the others on Jump.

Here's my problem: When I call these Doodles in battle, they won't perform even their maxed tricks!!

I make sure and keep them happy (affectionate if possible) before going into a battle. But even when it says they are excited or affectionate, they won't perform in battle!

I specifically chose Doodles that are "rarely confused" and either "very excitable" or "always affectionate".

Anyone have any idea why a Doodle would consistently NOT perform a trick in battle which they perform 99% of the time at home with no problem?

It's frustrating to spend that much time and effort training Doodles only to have them make you look like an idiot!

I know what you mean. I don't get doodles on my most recent toons. However, I have one on my main toon who I am thinking about getting rid of.

I have never once seen a doodle perform a trick in battle! Never! This could possibly just be a big bug that hasn't been reported yet.

And for spending that much time on maxing your doodles, without any pay - "That stinks!"

Doodles in Battle

I have five plain old TTC doodles who are not maxed on anything - as long as they are fed and happy (especially affectionate) I can get them to perform in battle. Not often mind you, but they will. I find that each doodle has a trick that they will perform more consistenly than any other, so rather than ask them to do the one that gives the highest laffs, I only ask them to do the one they seem to like. I have never gotten them to do one when they were hungry, bored, angry or tired.
