Huge catalog sprees: How much have YOU bought?

The name pretty much says it all. I've seen a lot of people buy truckloads of catalog items. I've been on Toontown a long time, and seen a lot of different numbers for this Top Toon ranking. Between 100 and 240 seems to be common nowadays. This isn't about the average number of catalog items bought in a day though. I'm curious to know: What's the most you've seen bought in a single day? The most I've seen is about 270. Have you seen higher?

I want to see if it would be possible to buy more than ever before! Curiosity demands that I find out if I'd be only just barely ahead, or way ahead though. I'm planning a huge spree to buy about 350.

So how about it? What's the largest number of catalog items you've ever seen bought in a single day?

Umm 30 or so. I have spend like 10000 jellybeans in one day. I got carried away while buying for my little toons, oops, lol.

I'm fairly certain that Blinky Trickyspinner holds the record for gifts at 1250 in one day. He had to use a 10,000 jb bank, 4 completed jb tasks, unites, additional completed jb tasks, etc.

So much for my 300 goal. >.> 1,250?!? That's insane... Maybe one day I'll manage to beat that... I doubt it'll be soon though. Well, thanks for that, now I know what I should aim for if I get bored and really really want to do something out of the ordinary!

I just hope nobody comes and says it's higher! lol

I remember reading your thread and thought it was a good analysis - I would guess that he also gave his 5 other toons (I think he had that many) - the max, waited for those to be delivered, then deleted them, etc. And he certainly would have had friends in on the fun, who were willing to take 20, delete them, take 20 more, etc. It takes four hours, right? (for a radio to be delivered)....


I didn't personally see it done, but given that he was the first on so many other things (first to solo law HQ, among others), I have no doubt of the #...)

Technically, if you had friends in on the plan, started in the morning, and worked the system all day, with unites, etc, you could give more than 1250. Just a matter of taking that much time ....says the guy who will sit for four hours tomorrow night to get 14.4K JNs.......lol....

people can buy 200+ cattlelog items because they are fishing for a rare fish and are earning 10,000+ jellybeans a day! wow, thats alot

I know some people earn upwards of 40,000 jellybeans in one day, but they have to spend several thousand to get them though. Most often used would be the gold rod, and it takes five beans for every fish. And sometimes you catch a fish worth three, or even just a boot. I've tried it before, it's hard to get a net gain of thousands of jellybeans in a single day. I think most people opt for using their 10,000 bean bank to store them instead. That's what I did at least. Otherwise you'd see most of the Toons who get the top toons for catalog items bought in the most fish category. I'm not saying you're wrong, they do earn upwards of even 40,000 beans in one day, but it does cost jellybeans to do that.

Some people can fish, earn beans, buy, fish again and buy. It's possible to get Blinky Trickyspinner's record. He just worked extremely hard for it.
