What's the deal with the statues?

I cant plant anything. Every time I try, it only give me the option of remove.

Once you plant a statue, you don't water it or anything if that's what your wondering.

If you plant a flower and can't pick it, you have to wait for it to grow. They will be grown the next day.

You have to remove statue to plant new one. Look in specials tab of gardening book, and it will show you what beans to use to plant new statue.
