SEARCH WORD "Spoiler"
This topic is covered in a very well prepared thread.
Just click search and enter SPOILER ... you'll find it. If you are already working 7 beans, follow that thread and wait. If you are going to help, post your FINDS and NO FINDS there. So that everyone can find it easily... The thread has been stickied so it won't go away anytime soon. Also, it would be helpful, if you are trying to figure a 7 bean, to follow their pattern assignments. Its working out beautifully. Happy Hauntings

I should have known
I should have known that the sharp toons on this site would have already figured out the first bean's color and they are already well along in brut force decoding. I think its still going to take a long time to find em that way.
I edited my post, leaving the part I feel is still relevant

i have theories...
Hi Dudley,
I'll bite! I'm with you on this.... I've been watching the beans for flowers for patterns and it seems to me that they do follow a pattern.... What I'm seeing is that after the first variety bean, like you said the bean colors are matching what the flower is. Too bad Disney didn't post pictures of their flowers in their toon guide like they have of the fish species. That would make it too easy tho.... I'll use the Marzi Pansy as an example of the pattern that *I* am seeing.... okay since this is a 4 bean combo it fits nicely... It starts with the anchor bean of orange... the flower itself has a double yellow of petals hence the two yellow beans abd a red center which goes right along with the final red bean. I see the cyan bean as a filler and a few other things. I will break down flower by flower what I am seeing. This is fun :-) I am ignoring the anchor bean in my observations. Daffy Dill -- the cyan bean is filler Chim Pansy --the cyan bean is filler Instant Carnation -- one yellow bean for solid yellow flower Lazy Daisy -- one red bean, as there is no pink and as there is only one bean left after the anchor they went with red as it is the predominent color in the flower Lily Pad -- green, primary flower color Midsummer Daisy -- I don't quite understand this one, my best guess is that they are making white by using all different colors, isn't white a reflection of all the colors in the spectrum? And cyan is not used as it is a filler bean. That's my guess.... Potsen Pansy -- 2 reds for solid red flower. Summer's Last Rose -- 2 reds for solid red flower Hybrid Carnation -- 2 reds for solid red flower Tiger Lily -- 2 oranges for primarily orange flower It gets a lot tougher on the rest of them.....and my brain is too tired to ponder anymore right now. But I think there is definate reasoning behind the color beans used and it is fun to try to crack the code. I definately give kudos to those hard working toons who are finding the species the old fashioned way! Mama Sky Rocken Roxy |

oof
Well, I went back and looked over the spreadsheet verison of known combos (was looking at a chart with pictures of the flowers in it also, previously) and now I see other patterns.
While it wouldn't be helpful for the work thats being done already I sure wish I could plant 7 bean combos to experiment with all the ideas running rampant in my head! Toodles Mama Sky Rocken Roxy |

Take a shot at first 7 bean flower
There are pictures of three flowers in the Official Guide that have not appeared in the combos so far (thru 6 bean): Violet Daisy, Blue Rose and Pink Petunia. We assume that these will be 7 or 8 bean flowers (but we don't know which).
We could go on the assumption that at least three of the variety beans will be the flower's color and maybe four. We assume that no silver beans are used. I propose that the best chance of finding first 7 bean flower is as follows: Try for the Violet Daisy with four or more violet variety beans (778 combinations). Try for the Blue Rose with four or more blue variety beans (778 combinations). Try for the Pink Petunia with four or more pink variety beans (778 combinations). Try for Violet Daisy with 3 and only 3 violet variety beans (6860 combinations). Try for Blue Rose with 3 and only 3 blue variety beans (6860 combinations). Try for Pink Petunia with 3 and only 3 pink variety beans (6860 combinations). The the 4, 5 and 6 predominate color (flower color) combinations look like this: S = Species Color, P = Predominate Color, A,B = Every/Any Color except P (get run thru all 49 combinations) There are 15 sets of 49 combinations: S, P, P, P, P, A, B S, P, P, P, A, P, B S, P, P, P, A, B, P S, P, P, A, P, P, B S, P, P, A, P, B, P S, P, P, A, B, P, P S, P, A, P, P, P, B S, P, A, P, P, B, P S, P, A, P, B, P, P S, P, A, B, P, P, P S, A, P, P, P, P, B S, A, P, P, P, B, P S, A, P, P, B, P, P S, A, P, B, P, P, P S, A, B, P, P, P, P 6 sets of 7 combinations S, P, P, P, P, P, A S, P, P, P, P, A, P S, P, P, P, A, P, P S, P, P, A, P, P, P S, P, A, P, P, P, P S, A, P, P, P, P, P and one set of 1 combination S, P, P, P, P, P, P One person could do all 778 of these for a species in one chunk. The three predominate color combinations look like this: S = Species Color, P = Predominate Color, A,B,C = Every/Any Color skipping Predominate Color (343 combinations). There are 20 sets of 343 combinations 1 S, P, P, P, A, B, C 2 S, P, P, A, P, B, C 3 S, P, P, A, B, P, C 4 S, P, P, A, B, C, P 5 S, P, A, P, P, B, C 6 S, P, A, P, B, P, C 7 S, P, A, P, B, C, P 8 S, P, A, B, P, P, C 9 S, P, A, B, P, C, P 10 S, P, A, B, C, P, P 11 S, A, P, P, P, B, C 12 S, A, P, P, B, P, C 13 S, A, P, P, B, C, P 14 S, A, P, B, P, P, C 15 S, A, P, B, P, C, P 16 S, A, P, B, C, P, P 17 S, A, B, P, P, P, C 18 S, A, B, P, P, C, P 19 S, A, B, P, C, P, P 20 S, A, B, C, P, P, P One person could two of these sets (686 combinations) in one chunk. I've numbered the sets for this one for easy picking. Thats 22914 combinations all together divided into 33 chunks. One person could do 2 chunks a day (2 or 3 hours). Odds are we'll hit it half way thru If we got 3 people thats 3 days for a 75-80% chance of finding a flower. So claim a chunk (in a reply) and lets get going!!

If you go to the spoiler you would see that these people are finding these combinations quite quickly. One toon found 2 6 bean combo's in just a few days. Your ideas are great maybe you should join them. But speaking from a toon that got the gardening tools they were available 7 and 8 bean combo's are really ir
relevant right now.....i've been planting 5 beans for what seems like eternity, so i'm sure that by the time I plant the 6 bean combo's for those 16 days someone will have the 7 bean combo's figured out. My suggestions would be that if you have a test toon go donate beans to these poor souls that are spending all their time looking for bean combo's. Personally I give them kudo's because I know I would fall asleep having to pick pick dig....
