Exclamation The big poll Trap or drop.

I have seen lots of people fighting over which is better so I made this poll to see which one you have or both, and which one you think is better or both, here are some facts I found on the fourm.

Trap
*Good for use with lure when there are a lot of high level cogs.
*Strongest gag on Toontown
***Lure's accuracy increases when a trap is set.
Weaknesses- Can only work if lure is used and trap is very difficult to train by yourself. You can also only carry 2 of your dynomite and if two traps are placed in the same spot, niether will work.(they will be spoiled)

Drop
*Good with only 1 to 2 high level cogs. This way lure is not used which can save laff points and turns.
*Can be used in 1 turn(using no other gag) for easier training than trap.
*second best gag on Toontown
*Accuracy increases if another toon hits that cog in the same turn.
Weaknesses- Drop has a low accuracy and it can cause problems if used with 3-4 high level cogs. It also cannot hit lured cogs.

I believe trap is the better of the two in the long run. When there are level 12 cogs most of the time toons will lure them. That is where the dynomite or other traps are used. All toons need the other gags not mentioned(sound, lure, and toon-up) or you may have problems battling cogs later on. But unlike what I have said, most toons have drop instead of trap as shown below:

Drop: 62% of toons carry drop gags
Trap: 38% of toons carry trap gags
Drop and Trap: 24% of toons have both

Drop is the most favored gag. Is this caused for Toontown's description of the gag not explaining enough? Of course the choice of the gag is yours.

***I did a test by using $1 bills on level 5 cogs. I used it 10 times and used it 10 times with the banana peel. Lure's accuracy does increase if a trap is set by 40%. I couldn't have found this out without the help of Mommy Tara***

Heh, those facts are marginally wrong. If you have a 1 ton drop gag and higher, the accuracy is raised substantially. Also if you take trap, it takes at least 2 gags to excecute it successfully. I personally prefer drop because it only requires one gag.

However, the pointage is exactly the same. If you factor in the accuracy bonus in all of the gags, it all pretty well much evens out.

So it's really about finesse. If you are a fan of the old Banana Peel and TNT from cartoons and stuff, you'll adore the trap line. But if you've been a fan of falling objects from watching cartoons as a kids, you'll seriously dig the Drop line. It's got all the sounds that you've heard from cartoons and Disney attractions. In fact, the piano gag has the most show-accurate sound attatched to it. So at the end of the day, rerember that it's about personal preferance, and not peer presure.

True about the drop, which is why I think drop is better.

I have drop on one toon and trap on the other. Drop is the gag track that I think is better because in order to use trap some one needs to use lure but for drop you just use it.

And one more thing that's bad about trap, is if you use trap on a cog, and the person doesn't use lure, then you just wasted a gag. I think drop's better.

I voted I have both , but i have to disagree. Drop is the hardest gag to train. Trap can be better if a person has lure with trap. I dont have lure, but who cares?

Then you have to have a friend with lure to train your trap with, which may be difficult.

Or, you probably have lure yourself, like I do. If you're trying to convince me that drop's better, you may quit the job sooner or later because I'm true to my TNT.

I have both, and I think that trap is WAY better. (I accidently picked drop was better) I have everything maxxed but drop. Drop is rediculously hard to max and I would choose trap over drop anyday.

Trap > Drop
TNT > Piano

Yeah, but TNT is the strongest gag out there. Its not the strongest gag when 4 birthday cakes come hurling at cogs, but who cares? A whopping 180 damage can kill anything but a lvl. 12 cog. Heres a tip when youre battling the vp. Use a TNT on a level 12 cog at the beginning of the cog and skelecog round, if it hits(once the lure hits), use a drop gag(like a safe), if it hits, which wont sometimes, the level 12 cog is defeated. I think theyre same old, but they both have drawbacks. Still, I think trap is better because its easier to train than drop.

they are both good

I like them both because they both take out level 11 cogs and nether can take out 12s my toon has drop and no trap all gags max.
If only toontown made a new type of gag
a lot of times a toon uses a level 5 sound and the others use drop to take out 3 level 12 cogs or one toon instead of drop uses throw or trap, there will still be one cog left but next turn one toon could use lure or somthing else.
i think both are = there are sometimes i wish i had trap, i think it is mostly who you are with and what gags they have.

I'm still not trying to convince you that drop is better, but you can use only one TNT one one cog, but you can use four piano's on one cog.
