Tug O War

I have had many talks on the subject of the trolly game Tug-o-War with my in game friends. Most seem to dislike the game.

So my question is:
1. Would you like to see Tug-o-War removed as a trolly game?

I didnt vote because I happen to like the Tug O War game.

But perhaps you can tell my why you think pounding the keys makes the game work any better than tapping the keys? Surely its the speed with which you hit the keys (rather than how hard you hit them) that determines how well you do in the game.

If its just that you arent any good at the game .. then what about the toons that cant play rings to save themselves? Should we vote that off too (there goes an easy 21 JB)?

Personally I'd rather have more trolley games so there is some variety, rather than delete some we have and then get really bored with only a few games to play.

Anyways, thats my tuppence worth.

Ok so I don't really pound it, but the rate of taping the keys atleast for me is absurd (would a different keyboard help?). I can win the game no problem. I was only interested in others view on it.

Yeah the Player vs Player is fun sometimes, but only because of the BIG head view IMHO.

I like it too. I think the adjustments they made to it are reasonable. I win everytime solo and it doesn't take much time.

Before I could never get the Corporate Raiders in the water. Now I can everytime, sometimes much faster than other times.

The speed you have to press, even at the top, is significantly slower than it used to be.

I politely suggest polls offering all mutually exclusive options, including liking the game, or liking the game with some additional changes. I was 'forced' to select that I love to pound my keyboard, even though that doesn't happen at all.

In the top 2 areas I have to switch to 2 hands rather than one to keep up the speed. I suggest trying that.

A suggestion to make it better is keep it all toons vs. the cog and allow the players, before the game, to select an option to go cooperatively or against each other. If ALL of them agree to be against each other (on even teams), then it changes the game slightly.

I never seem to get a consistent reponse once I get to hitting the keys at a certain speed (about 20 times a second?)

it tends to jump from "too slow" to "too quick" and back again - and, yes, I *am* hitting the keys at the same speed. (until it raises the bar again)

But I don't mind it - It can be fun when I'm up against 3 other toons - I like to shout "You Stink!", "Me Too!" when they pull me in :-)

Yes, Solo is normally okay (if I don't get it within 10 seconds, I'll leave it run for the 4 jellybeans ) However, in a team is a different matter. I rarely win in a team no matter how well I keep the light green on show

Yes, there should have been options for people who "Don't Mind" and those who "Love It". Therefore I have not voted until the vote options are updated by a Moderator.

I find it does allow you to go PvP on occasions - a random feature just like the game itself being random.

nope, it's my favorite of the trolley games...it's the easiest way for me to get the biggest amount of points....i dont think i've ever banged on the keys either, i press them the same way i do when my toon walks down the street...

now the ring game on the other hand...lol

mmm. You hit the key over and over again at a VERY quick pace (as fast as it is humanly possiable, and then faster still?) when your toon walks down the street? I just hold my forwared arrow key down and occasionally tap the left / right arrow to stear the toon. I don't see the comparsion here.

I don't care for any of the trolly games. Just something to get through in order to go out and kill cogs. And after having 3 toons to 60+ laff, they are boring as heck.

I never play tug of war solo, I just use that time as a bathroom break. I'll play it with other toons just to be polite.

I hate the game. But as others do like it I won't send in the petition, I will just continue to use it as afk time. No biggie.

Can't believe it Mac. You seem such a sensible toon otherwise ! ToW rox. Quick game, good rewards. Having to tap like a madman just means you suk at it lol. That cog should be well off the jetty by the time speed approaches anything unfeasible.

(Btw, on the occasions where the raider makes it to the fast tapping sessions at the top I just hit both keys almost at the same time at half the speed - index finger on the left key and middle finger on the right, works well, you should try.)

umm, no...i said "i press them the same way i do when i walk down the street"...meaning, i use the same pressure, no banging...i personally don't alternate left/right when playing Tug of War, i press them together and get the same results...

i'm sorry if you don't like my comparison, but i'm sure you knew what i meant...just adding my own personal opinion like everyone else in this thread...wasn't intended to be rude

Usually when forced to do the TOW (I admit I hate it) I play with one hand on eack keyboard. On one I get reasonably good results but on the other its quite the opposite. Eventually the keypresses are too fast to register and the result gets gets slower. I use a KVM switch which may have something to do with it.

With just 2 toons the tag game rocks. Parking one toon as it while the other scoops up points regularly gets 36-40 beans each time.

I HATE THAT GAME.. especially when I have to play it 10 times + 1 rings + 2 maze + 3 canon when I try to fill my jelly beans!! I'm going bald because of this game!!I can't go do something else everytime I have to play it!!

I love Tug-Of-War. It is the easiest trolly game to play. Get rid of Match Minnie!
