Should we be able to cancel our Toontasks?
Alright, I've been thinking. In every single game I've played if you get some sort of task, you always have a way to get rid of it without finishing it. So why not ToonTown? Shure it's a kid's game, and they probably feel like kids might be canceling toontasks for no reason and getting nowhere in the game, but that shouldn't matter since younger kids hardly ever get far into the game. They usually get bored after they hit a laff of 50.
So what I think is that if we can get enough people to agree with this idea, than mabey we can send it to the devs of ToonTown and hopefully they'll enforce it. Just want this to happen since my task to defeat 400 2+ story cog buildings has been with me for over 4 months. It's not like it's hard or anything, it's just that it's painstaking, and whenever you have something painstaking in a game it usually ends up to people leaving, which is exactly what people do when they get stuck with these tasks.
Why do they even have those tasks in the first place? It's not like they actually thought it was gonna be easy. If they did, then Disney is even stupider with games than I thought. Shure it gives people a challenge, but if people don't like to waiste their time on this game just trying to complete it, than it obviously shouldn't be forced to finish it. If they really want to challenge people in the game, than they should only let those tasks be for fun not forced. It just simply ruins the game for everyone.
So if you aggree with me and think we should be able to cancel our tasks, than click yes, cuz you'll be doing everyone a favor. It's just common sence to be able to cancel tasks in a video game.
EDIT: I don't really think some of you guys are getting this here. When you ask for a task, it gives you a reward right? Well for most tasks there's a reward, but there's also another task with that same reward. So if you cancel a task, you won't be offered the same exact task, but that same task plus a different one with the same reward. Do you understand now?
Also, if it's a task that has the same exact task for the same reward, no alternate ones, than if you cancel it, you'll get the same exact task again.
EDIT: For anyone who disagrees to this idea, please do not post if you're going to say "I like hard tasks" or "It's your fault for picking the task." Those posts have been quickly and reasonably defended, you just gotta look through the thread.
EDIT: I'm hearing that if there's a cancel button, and you're very far in the task, than your evil little sibling will cancel it. Well someone has given me the idea that if you want to cancel the task and press the button, they will ask for a password. This password will be different than the one you enter to enter ToonTown. So I thought that would be a very cool way to keep this idea reasonable.
