"Green Eggs and Ham" has always been my favorite. I also loved "My Book About Me...a book by Dr. Suess and Me!"

And how could I forget...especially here where I live "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" is a favorite. All the Hoos down in Hooville!

The one I like, in fact the only one I own, is "A Pocket Book of Boners".

It was published in 1941, and was a whole bunch of one-panel gags. His artistic style was distinctly Suessian, although the jokes were more directed toward an adult audience.

I may get around to scanning that book someday. It would be a rough job, since it is a typical pocket book from the WW2 years - the paper is very thin and translucent, making scans a real chore to clean up the bleed-through from the backing pages. Probably worth doing, though, since I've never seen them anywhere. Most paperbacks from those years were recycled for wartime use.

Have you ever had that book appraised?
Just wondering if its worth a lot. If so I wouldn't scan it for fear of damaging the pages.

Where to start?

Superb. Particularly the one where he did it for a bet (that he could write a book using only 50 different words).

And it's S E U S S.
