Well, J.K Rowling said that 2 main characters would die...But that could be anyone...There's a lot of candidates for that.

If he's a horcrux (which I suspect), then yes, he will have to die in order for Voldemort to be beaten. But honestly, no one (except Jo, Neil, Arthur, and others) knows.

My daughter said she read on a fansite that Jo, in an interview, said that when she finished, she locked herself in a hotel room with a bottle of **** and "howled". My daughter has read each of the books at least 10 times, and neither one of us can come up with anyone else that would upset her soooo much besides Harry and Dumbledore, and one is ALREADY dead, so....

But, I also think that Mrs. Weasley might upset her pretty bad, but Mrs. Weasley isn't technically a "main" character, is she?

Well, several characters will die (as Jo has indicated) coupled with the fact that she finished a series she's been writing for seventeen years; I think she's "absoloutley howl" regardless of whether or not Harry died. (Not that I'm doubting there is a good chance of Harry snuffing it.)

There is a 50% possibility that he might die in the end. 8-)
But as we define the term "die" could be totally different meaning in the world of magicians and wizards.
Also, "in the end" could not be an "END" but a new beginning. And all the blah blah blah they try to drill at the end of soapy movies and books.
I mean the line usually goes "he will life with you for ever and ever as long as you remember, he will live in your heart..etc etc"

I really hope Harry doesn't die, but there is a good possibility he can. I think it's one of Harry's friends who gets the boot. I watched an interview with J.K Rowling and she said there is a lot more than 2 people dying. She explained it to be a "blood bath."

Don't DP, and no, I read on an interview with J.K. Rowling, she said that Harry has to die, or else the story of HP continues.... just saying.
