When I type "admin" as the password, it won't log me in.
It says this:

The server 192.168.0.1 at WGT624 requires a username and password.

Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).

I tried it on Safari, but when it didn't work, I switched to Internet Explorer and that was no sucess either.

Can someone please help? (:

Hi, since yesterday (when the new make-a-toon and pick-a-toon) update was put into TT, I have had bad connection on TT. I keep losing connection in DA offices, cog golf courses, etc, and today is the same. I lost connection in Back 9. Any ideas why my connection all of a sudden has been poor on TT?

Hi, to alleviate your worries, losing connection does NOT harm your computer in any way. If its recently happening, and is not a normal occurrence, losing connection could be caused by something as simple as bad weather in the area. Also it depends if you are Wireless, or a wired connection. If its wireless, try to get closer to the wireless router in your house. If its a wired connection make sure the internet plug is securely connected (on both ends).

You will make two services, one for each port. The Service Name is only something to help you remeber what you made the entry for (the service name does not matter to anyone but you). The user should be any. The triggering port, starting port, and ending port are all the same (either 6112 or 6667, depending on which you are setting up at the moment. Finally, leave the connection type as TCP/UDP.

This guide will walk you through step by step. If you need further help, please let me know.

To other users, you can check this link http://www.portforward.com/english/r...outerindex.htm for other router brands/models.

I understood that pretty easily.

I've been disconnected since yesterday. I can't stay on for more than 10 minutes at a time. I did this and it works perfectly fine now.
Thanks!

Hi, I triggered my ports a long time ago.......thanks so much for that information. I have a problem though with one computer now and it just started recently. It is used wirelessly and has a strong signal. The problem is I am getting the lost connection message from Toontown, but yet still have a strong wireless internet connection and I am connected to the web. I only have this problem with one out of two computers that are being used on Toontown. It happens probably once an hour. It will not affect the other computer and they will be side by side. Any suggestions......as I said, the ports are already triggered and I just double checked them again.

Okay, take a breath here, lucky u have a friend thats a tech. So do u have a router? if so what brand/module u have? IE: Linksys, Belkin ETC. If you are using the right IP adress of your router, if the password "admin" doesn't work, u dont have a Linksys router, or u made ur own password during setup. Reply ASAP.

Your Friend,

Med

I thought "admin" was the user name and "password" was the password. I have NetGear and it worked for me.

But I have another question. I have been running 2 toons on DSL with no problems. We switched to Broadband and I started having connection problems, so I did the port triggering which was a great help as long as I only run one toon. When I try to run the second account, it seems to want to use the same port as the first account and eventually settles on port 80. The lag is terrible! Any ideas?

annoyed with disconnection

Hi,
I have cable internet connection, I can only play toontown on my wireless laptop which disconnects me about 15-30 times a day; i get disconnected more frequently when I'm in a full district or a place where there's a lot of activity. I tried to play toontown on my landline desktop computer, its even worse, I cant even get online. I have tried unplugging the internet wire from my desktop and plugging to my laptop, and the result is the same as playing on my desktop. So I know that its not the computer difference, I just can't figure out whether the problem is my router or my modem. Also I'm using wireless to web surf, the performance is a whole lot slower than when I use the landline.
I use a linksys wireless-g router and optimum internet.
If anybody has any tips or any idea what the problem is, please reply, i would appreciated alot.
Thank you.
