search all flowers first then focus on one
The initial search will be across all flowers. The plan is to check the combinations with the least amount of different beans. As an example, below are some combinations that will be recommended to check first to anyone that requests a search combination:
RBBBxxxB CRRRxxxR YYYYxxxY These are just 3 of the combinations that will be recommeded early on. There are only a small list of these that will be done and then I think that we will focus on one flower. Of course, everyone is welcome to search whatever combinations they think will yield a flower and we'll keep track of what they searched. I hope that answers your questions and thanks for your persistence. andrew |

Permutations and combinations?
I'm just starting my seven beaners. You guys ROCK!!
I note that in the 7 bean combinations:
I'm guessing these color combinations are not random. Three of the five use only three colors! If I were going to search through 8-bean combinations, I'd probably take my sub-list and sort them by the number of colors used in the combinations. When I made it to the higher numbers of colors, I'd search the ones that had repetitions of a single color first. Did I say that you guys ROCK? Thanks for all the combos! |
