Gosh darn these trees...

I planted a whole gag track, from bike horn to fog. I already know that lv 1 gags take about 3 days to bloom; but for goodness sake's, my bike horns have bloomed and the fog tree has not grown one inch taller! I know that the higher level gags will naturally take longer to grow, but with my gardening experience on a smaller toon, I also know that lv 2 gags take almost a week to bloom! At this rate, the fog tree will take AT LEAST a month!

Does anyone else think that this is ridiculous?

That is exactly what happened to me on Test. It took a long time for the fog horn tree to grow bigger, but it eventually did.

Check back in...about 3 weeks. Personally, I haven't done any gardening in TT yet, so I may be incorrect about this, but...

You said that Level 2 gag trees take almost a week to grow, correct? If there is a pattern here(and I do believe one exists), your fog tree should take about 18 days to grow...at least according to the pattern.

EDIT: Perhaps it's a little less than 18 days, but since I haven't been gardening, I am unable to support my explanation. Hopefully, you'll figure it out.

Then again, there's always the possibility that the tree would take almost a month to grow. *shrugs*

i should've picked up on the pattern!!! LOL but still, 18 days is a BIT long, but i can manage the wait .

I know that with the release of gardening on TT, that everyone is asking questions and trying to get the hang of it (at least those who have no previous experience with it on test). i have one more question: when is it safe to remove the trees? For example, lets say that all of the sound tree gags have bloomed, including the fog. Is it then safe to pull all them out to make room for, say, throw trees? Or will I lose all experience with sound trees, and then have to replant them all again if I need more fogs again at some point? Was I clear? It's hard to explain...

If you uproot any of your sound gag trees you will lose the bonus on all sound gags above the level of the one you removed. Unfortunately you have to keep all 6 levels to get the gag bonus. If you do try to remove a tree a pop up will appear advising you of this also.

So, technically, you can only have one Level 6 gag with bonus damage at a time, because you need to have the 5 previous trees there to keep that damage. Well that is a little bit of a disappointment. when I first became aware of gardening and organic gags, I always assumed that we would eventually be able to harvest ALL organic gags. I figured that if we successfully grew an entire gag track, then we would be "maxxed" in it, so to speak, and could just plant any tree from tha gag track in the future. This way, we eventually could grow all gag tracks, and be able to eventually harvest and store all of our level 6 gags with extra damage.

If it is just one gag track at a time, then the organic gag damage hardly seems worth it.

When I read the guide, I thought it said that you would lose points on the next higher gag. It didn't say anything about the higher gags after that.

My idea was to plant all sound gags, and then take out all but the top 3. That way my two top sound gags would have an extra boost.

Since there were 8 tree places, I was going to have one other gag with 3, and then one other gag with two. That way I would have 5 gags that would have a boost. (look at first sentence.)

I thought that would have been great. But I am behind on getting my fog horn . . . .

Yes, that's what I thought initially, but it seems we are only able to have one gag track at a time with the organic bonus. Seems odd that they gave us 8 places to plant trees unless they plan on bringing in an eighth gag at a later date.

As usual Disney have giveth with one hand and taketh with the other, lol.

Yes, there's always a catch to these kinds of things. That idea of an eighth gag is very intriguing.

The gags grow in multiples of threes. There are three stages. A level 1 gag takes 1 day for each stage 2 takes 2 days and so on.

Level 2 blooms day 7
Level 3 blooms day 10
Level 4 blooms day 13
Level 5 blooms day 16
Level 6 blooms day 19

Bonus for each gag is available one day before the bloom.

My test toon dug up her 2 "odd" trees in hopes the extra spots will be used for new gags....I don't use level 1 or 2 gags so I figured it didn't matter .

I like the "giveth/taketh away" comment...it is so true!

I realize I'll catch some flack for this but I dug up my sound in favor of something with a little more 'bang' for my buck. Organic fog only yields +5, where as organic dyamite is +18, organic piano +17. Maybe the level 7 might make it worth while....but too late I'm in a wait loop.

True, but that +5 fog can hit four cogs at once.
