Everything you Need to Know about CCG
Get On! Pack On! Stay On! Our group started over 5 years ago with just one rule:
That rule is based on our core belief that:
Boarding groups are incompatible with our core belief. We don't select who we load with, we pack and go. If our single rule based on our core belief is one that you also share, please keep on reading and see if membership in The CCG is for you. So, what exactly is the CCG? The CCG is a group of people that attend Boss Battles without the elevator shuffle. The reason the CCG was created was so players could go to the VP without worrying about being shuffled off the elevator. When the VP first came out you could shuffle an elevator for an hour before actually getting a group of 8 to go fight the Boss. AJshortbluehorse had an idea in February 2004 to start a group that would never shuffle off the elevator, regardless of who was on it. That group was called The Cold Callers Guild!!! There was one rule and one rule only, No Shuffling! Over the years, we have grown and have added a few guidelines in order to meet the needs of all our members. But one thing will always remain - No Shuffling! A few guidelines: Several guidelines have been developed over the years to encourage teamwork and make the boss experience more fun for everyone.
Who can attend a CCG run? Anyone may join us on our runs. Everyone needs to follow our Rule and Guidelines. How do I become a member of the CCG? There are two different places to go to in order to become a CCG member. 1) CCG Website: In order to be an official listed member of the CCG, visit our interactive website to add your toon(s) as members. When submitting a toon, you will need to enter your TTC (ToonTownCentral.com) user name first, and then enter the name of your toon. You will need to set up a password for the CCG website. This can be the same as your TTC password, or different. Please keep in mind - you must use your TTC name if you wish to join the TTC CCG membership group. Quote:
Once you register your toon at the CCG website you are then eligible to join the CCG User group. You access the "Group Membership" through your User CP. To get to your User CP, look at the top bar of this or any TTC page. On the left side of the top bar you will see "User CP", click on that, then click "User Control Panel". Please see Group Memberships 101 if you need more information. Joining this group will give you access to the CCG private forum and give you a chance to let your voice be heard on matters of the guild. This will also allow you to add the CCGer rank image under your name, so everyone will know you are a member. Once I join, is there anything else I need to do? Yes. Members have a few additional expectations...
CCG Ambassadors: Atta Girl Joan busybee Bunnee What they do: The role of a CCG Ambassador is to serve the CCG by attending runs on a regular basis. Their presence there should be friendly toward all members but especially new ones. They should be watchful and alert to possible problems or violations of guidelines. They should be especially conscientious to report runs if others do not. They answer questions and help with problem solving.] The Ambassadors are the members that you should go to with any CCG related question or problem. These include (but are not limited to) problems or concerns on a run, questions about strategy, clarification of guidelines, or anything related to CCG activities. For your convenience we have developed a special forum - CCG: Ambassador Hotline for you to use when reporting a problem on a CCG run. If reporting a problem with a run, please include as much information as you can. You can also view this post: Incident Report Form to see what information is needed for your report. For more information about how this special forum works, see this thread. The CCG Moderators and what they do: TTC - CCG Mods Deputy Monty King Beany Murky Melody Lady Freckles Zilly Beaniemooch Thissa Way LFG Lilys Biscuit Whistlepoof Rattlebones (web page issues) What they do: If the question or problem is related to the CCG forum, TTC website, or the CCG website, you should contact one of the Mods listed above. CCG Strategies used in boss battles: In the VP Boss Battle we use a strategy of “Lure Left, Kill Right”. One person should lure the new cog that comes into the left side of the line, while the other three go for the right cog. We only take out one cog at a time, going for the right cog. As with everything in life, there are times people will not follow this strategy, they are new to the CCG and unaware, there are no lower laff toons on the side, or maybe there is an uber that is trying to kill the strongest cog and leave the smaller cogs. Using good teamwork and speedchat, the team should be able to get through the round and move on. There are many different threads regarding Boss Battle Strategies here on TTC. Feel free to read the different links and see what the boss battles are like, but remember in the VP please use Lure Left, Kill Right “LLKR”. If you are sided with a lower laff toon, please, PLEASE, leave the sound in your gag bag. CCG: Boss Strategy & Uber Battle Thread - Some great guides on how to battle the 4 Boss's and also battling with an uber. The Dogfather's Guide to the VP battle - A great informational piece on what the VP is like, but please remember to leave your sound in your gag bag. Reporting CCG Runs: All runs should be reported, whether successful or not. For all the information you need in reporting a run please read McBubble's Secret Guide to Run Reporting Where do I report a run? You can find the daily report threads here. Please remember, children of all ages play this game. When reporting your run, please leave out negative comments about team members. If you have a problem with someone because they are not following the guidelines, please use the CCG: Ambassador Hotline. If there is something that the team can learn, please post without attacking people on the run. Remember, we are a loose volunteer organization, sometimes things go wrong, but things work well most of the time. If something goes wrong on your first trip with us, please try again. Our current success rate over the last year (based upon reported runs) is more than 90% for all the Boss battles. Meaning 90% of the toons who enter the elevator dance at the end. Also remember that this is a KIDS game, and that toon next to you may be a child. Play with others as you would want them to play with your 7-yr-old! Lastly - Have Fun
