Unhappy dissapointed with ccg

I just want to say i am dissapointed at the moment with ccg ceo run today at 2:30.. i worked hard to live through it several times i seen them using toon ups to toon themselves and not one time did i recieve a toon up. I would think if your gonna use the toon up you could share it so the rest of us doesnt have to fight at the conveyor belt for the little toon ups that come out...I dont think i will ever go to ceo with them again since everytime i have went i have died...sry this is the first time i have been dissapointed in a run with this group.

Did you ask for help in the run or did any toons call out "Lets use toon up" and then "This way" or "Follow me"? Most (note: I'm saying most not "All") CCG members will continuously check laff on newer toons in the CEO and if they see them low on laff and have TU unites available to use (another key factor), will call out to other toons so everyone can "meet" in a location and be united at once. If toons were using them for themselves only, then yes, they were being selfish but this does NOT by any means reflect on the entire population of the CCG. I have run up and used unites on toons that are running low on several occasions and used my Max Tu's on others after calling to them to "Meet here".

I guess it has been a couple of weeks since another one of these threads popped up, so the timing is about right. I won't direct you to the Complaint Department this time, instead I will offer a bit of advice.

Your laff and comfort level is your responsibilty, no matter what the run. Expecting others to tu you is a bit over the top, as many larger suits spent their unites on the sadder toons early on when Boss came out.

The best advice I can give you, keep trying and learn how to dodge the CEO attacks. The better you get at this skill, the less tu you will require.

I agree with the above poster.

Also, there could've been someone who only had single digit laff points left and really didn't have the time to wait for everyone to gather around.

While some toons are able to use speed chat to indicate they are going to use TU, some are not. Some may be so low as to be panicky they themselves will go sad. Regardless, you are responsible for your own laff. If you have gone sad every time you have been to CEO I question if you are going in early, perhaps you might try waiting to see if you can get a more balanced load, etc. I might also suggest you CFO a few times and try to build up your own unites.

I feel like a broken record on this one. The purpose of the CCG is to get you ON the elevator. They did that. After that there are toons who truly try to work together and have everyone dance. Not being on your run I can't state whether you had any CCG members there or not, but randoms do attend these runs and you may be on the early elevators that contain more small suits and randoms than others. Another suggestion would be to report your runs in the forum with the information you have and ask for input as to what happened.

I totally understand if you do not wish to go with the CCG again. I wish you all the best in the world wherever you do choose to attend.

Sometimes you might hear "Toons of the World Toon up" and think the toon doing it was selfish. But often the toonup is a small one - 10 or 20 points - so it wouldn't make sense to call all the toons together to use it.
I was also on a run at that time and ended up using 2 20 point toonups. Each time I just looked around for a toon to share it with and ran to that toon. It wouldn't have made sense to make a general announcement. Nobody was calling for a toonup and there was really just one toon lagging and suffering (and staying close to the snacks). I had a max toonup in reserve for which I would have called everyone for if it had been necessary.
I did a dozen CFO's to stock up a bit. My best advice would be to pack some toonup unites before going to CEO or put your trust in fate.

Judging the entire CCG based on one run? I find the CEO runs are great with this group. If you feel like it is failing you, good luck with the other runs you can attend.

I don't have much time for CFOs anymore, so when I do get time to CEO it's a rare thing for me to have a unite to use.

My last two went to a Flunky 1 who had 3 laff jumping at the conveyor belt. Both times I saw her jumping and just dashed over and set it off. No time to call anyone over. Is it possible these unites were set off for a toon in dire straits with no time to wait for everyone to gather?

I have to agree, though, that your laff level is your responsibility. With practice you'll learn to jump. Until then, ask for help when needed, and hopefully someone can set one off.

I have to agree that you must be responsible for your own laff. To EXPECT it from anyone else is the epitome of selfishness. You didn't run those CFO's that earned those toons their unites. Why do you think you have a CCG given right to demand a part of them? Is it nice to include others in a unite? Sure. Is it obligatory? No.

My suggestion to you also is to go CFO, earn your own unites and be responsible for yourself until you are more capable of dodging attacks better. Until then, think of it this way. If everyone else gets a part of the unite but you? The conveyors are now open and at your disposal.

As with any other boss battle, the only way to get better at it is to learn from past failures. In this case, learning to avoid damage will definitely prevent you from needing more laff points to begin with.

There are many many threads throughout this website that walk you thru this boss battle and others for that matter. For the life of me, I can't figure out why one will take the time to post a negative whiny thread against an entire group of "innocent" toons than go seek the info they so rightfully need to make themselves a better toon.

Better luck to you in your future boss battles...may other mighty toons have more pitty on you!

Personally, I run myself to the edge of death. I will gladly use a TU unite on someone else if they are near sadness but rarely use one for myself. When I have had circumstance to do so I am almost always in the 10 LP and below range. I think it is kind of rude for someone to demand that I say specific speedchat phrases before I can use a TU unite to save my own toon in the 10LP range. I almost always have a few unites up my sleeve and if I am too busy to look at your LP's feel free to approach any of my toons and say, "I need a toonup." I will gladly oblige.

Hmm. I don't generally run with the cgc , only once and it was a vp, but about the whole unite thing, I don't think is fair to call out people for not uniting. I very rarely ever use unites for myself, I could be 3 laff in a ceo and I'll run to conveyor before uniting myself, however, if I see a toon just at 20 laff I'll run over to unite them. I rather unite that ONE person right away and have them live than gather the entire group, which would take a minute, and then have the whole purpose of me uniting go sad because gathering the group was long enough to get them sent back to pg... I've used so many unites on people in ceos I actually have zero now. Now when I get a 10 unite or 20 and I'm at 5 laff stuck under the ceo I will definitely unite myself, and for anyone to be called selfish because they themselves were scared for their own lives is really unfair. People get unites to unite themselves in emergencies and if the occasion occurs, others as well. To call people out for uniting is really low. No one HAS to unite. What selfish is to me, is someone stealing all the tu from conveyor when they're 70 laff and you're 5 laff... or someone uniting there friend whose 90 outa 100 laff instead of you whose screamin "Help!" at 2 laff.

For someone who said this is the first disapointing run with the ccg tells me your standards are way to high. Maybe you should lower your standards, expect tu unites less, and work on your dodging skills more.

Aside from what has been said by others - you are assuming that the people who used the unites were CCG members? Or do you know if for a fact? If they definitely were, then maybe a better way to understand what actually happened is to PM them, and ask if they would please explain, because you really don't want to go sad again.

If on the other hand, if they weren't CCGers (lots of people know where we meet and run - moreover, the CEO district is frequently a green district that dumps toons into it), then you have just been pretty unfair to the rest of the CCG crowd.

I know that like many other CCGers, (while it isn't the reason the group exists,) will try to keep everyone on the run alive. It makes it more fun for me when everyone succeeds. So no one that I know of was happy that you didn't make it. Indeed, if they are like me, they are quite upset with themselves for "letting" it happen. (yeah, its a complex that I'm dealing with!) I burn through unites like crazy in the CEO, which then gives me a reason to go CFO (I love craning).

Many of us went sad in our first few CEOs. And I'm sometimes in jeopardy down in the 20 laff range, running madly for the next seltzer bottle to keep at him. Losing isn't the end of the world - particularly if everyone was working together - sometimes it simply happens.

Just my two cents.
