I don't remember prior to what happened other then one of the skels knocked laff some off. I'm sitting there with full laff, the other two are both down 20 laff. This puts the uber at 10 laff. The two skels on the right are still lured. Two fresh skels come out. The high laff throws out a train track and I lure. The two lured skels on the right step back. However, when I use my lure only the two skels on the left step forward and the train runs over those two skels only.

Thinking we were going to take a hit from the two skels on the right, I tossed a unite TU hoping it would save the uber. It wasn't necessary because as soon as the two cogs on the left got run over, poof, those two cogs on the right were just gone. They just up and disapppeared. It was like MAGIC, lol.

We were all like "Huh?"

I think the level 7's are just glitchy and don't necessarily all work the same for everyone. My wedding cake finally hit and that's only because the cogs were lured. I've had my presentation hold thru only two sets of cogs, yet others have had it hold for 20 rounds ... go figure, lol.
yes, seems level 7 gags are still in the "raw" phase... I think we all saw lured cogs "side-jumping" (miss hit) on wedding cake and geyzer

probably there are more: like in your case (luckily those two "poofed" as well concidering there were ubers involved! phew!) or in our case - where at least we didn't waste clara and train - that was "one too many" - but joyfully sceles were destroyed

I also had noticed that presentation holds shorter in CFO than in VP - glitch again or meant to be so?

oh well suppose ther's more to be discovered ...

that's a great suggestion btw ! Didn't think it can work! Will have to try it! Thanks!

Our teamwork on that run was flawlessly perfect. We were on a roll! "Welcome to Toontown," and "It's the luck of the Irish" are my favorite phrases in cases like that. It was really "no problem" when my uber didn't survive it.

Don't worry about it, the cogs didn't kill her, nor did the lack of lure. It was the sad bug that attacked. As far as I know, nobody has managed to figure out a survival plan for the "sad bug." I've seen big strong, high laffing toons succomb to the evil bug.
You were hit by the sad bug twice this weekend? Oof!

I agree, it's a conspiracy! TT sent Melon Collie to the Playground for the first time in VP, just yesterday as she was ready to promote to Mover and Shaker...Not terrible stats, but still. IT IS THE LUCK OF THE IRISH!

I think Princess has gone sad the last 5 VPs. I sure hope Melon Collie doesn't follow that pattern!

Thanks to all who offered revenge runs each of these times. Usually, I'd rather just catch the next run time and race off to the following boss battle whether it's CJ or CFO. It's nice having a toon ready to go...next time. Princess has been ready to ride all week, and that's just not a bad thing at all. She's attractive her her cog suit, even better looking than without it since she's a short, fat toon. She'll be content to remain in that suit for as long as it takes for her luck to change.

Gags miss

I found this on the run report and wanted to bring it over to general discussion:

Gags miss
I wondered what happened to Beanquack, since he has 50 laff which is usually enough to provide a cushion for a lure miss. I saw him bent over examining his toes in Daisy Gardens.

Princess Murky (previous post from a long time ago) actually went sad 10 times in a row before she managed a win, at the side of some friends. Lure misses. It seems to me, even my organic lure is missing more than normal these days.

In that same run report, his wedding cake missed on a string of semi lured cogs. (2 were, 2 weren't) Watching lured cogs jump out of the way of a powerful, slow to replace, level 7 cake is frustrating.

I'd like to remind us that we can plan a little for this to happen.

We can plan for gags to miss. Let's promote teamwork, which is what the CCG is famous for. We start by considering the little guys as valuable at the elevator when we load with them. We continue by showing we consider that they are valuable as we LLKR, go for one cog, apply enough power to kill, and listen to their pleas for help.

If we plan for the chance that a gag will miss, we are giving all toons with 25 laff or more a chance to take one hit (where the gag missed) and survive it...no matter how big the cog is that is hitting or which hit he is using. Beanquack's 50 laff would be enough, my 34 would be enough, and we have a chance to be tuned before the next hit.

Planning for gag misses requires not killing the whole string so that new ones replace them. It means not even killing two so that 2 come to replace them. It means not killing the most recently lured cog, but rather killing the cog that is on a timer to wake next and hit us, even if it's not on the right. (That might require remembering what type and level of lure was used to hold it.) It means backing up the gag with a gag in the same gag line (squirt goes with squirt, throw backs up throw) and using enough gag to kill the cog.

I'd be so happy if Disney would fix the upward surge of gag misses that seem to be hitting us recently. However, that's part of what makes the game exciting...it's unpredictability. We can feel pretty good about our teamwork if we work around the threats and outsmart the cogs with all their tricks up their sleeves.

Ummmm, what does "fatal system error" mean? and why is the screen blue? Is this a bad thing?

Oh well, I guess thats why we have 2 compys and a lappy. or should that be 1 compy and a lappy now?

I blame Dell. Or maybe the 400,000 viruses we downloaded. Or maybe Strong Bad. This did start happening after we watched the latest edition of teen girl squad...........

I want to know if anyone else has noticed increase lag in the CJ or is it just my aversion to Law that is causing my problem?

I have no other problems any where else in Toontown.

My drivers are updated.

Its not my router.

Did I miss anything?

The last CJ for yesterday, I was doing fine in the Cog round and when I started to hit the scale.
Someone yelled "I need more evidence" and since we had 4 and 4, I ran over to cover them on the cogs.
As soon as I started stunning the cogs, boy did the lag ever hit me hard.
Half my evidence was going right thru them and I could barely turn.
This isn't the only time it's happened and unfortunately when I go to cover a stunner, the stunner doesn't come back and I am stuck trying to stun cogs.

My router is updated.
My graphics card is updated.
I run 1028mbs of ram.
My graphics card has 256mbs of ram.
I am on Cable.

It seems lag is a problem we all have to live with until Disney does something about it...I don't know why it affects some and not others...I ALWAYS reboot
before going into battle...which means, gagging up, running, shutting down...
That is for every single battle...And if you want something off the trees, go before you gag up...Going to your estate will cause lag also...Seems to be these
lil "lag holes" all over TT.... Good luck!!!

I haven't actally lagged hard in the CJ (well, except the one time I didn't have time to reboot...oof that was rough!), but have been getting a bit sluggish sometimes lately. I was in the CJ yesterday afternoon and towards the end got a bit laggy. I never had problems hitting the cogs, but would get hit with evidence before I saw it coming and was often delayed when stunning cogs. It wasn't really bad, but was definitely noticable and not fun. My computer has very similar stats to Pix's except I have DSL instead of cable.

I dunno...

I get lag in the CJ and everyone else in my runs gets it too when the fight lasts longer than efficient (say 6 or less jurors seated - or there's a random running around like a headless chicken - or someone discoed and we're short at the stun line because 3 just have to be at the scale).

btw the lag is not so apparent at the scales. Also the number of gavels on the floor are a factor.

My lag is horrible in the CJ. Esp. if I don't reboot. If I reboot, I lock up right AFTER the CJ. If not, I lock up at the cannons.
thank goodness I have a laptop. It has 300 RAM, but has a crummy internet connection. I really need a new computer.

Yeah I think most people restart the game or reboots before a CJ.
