the 1 thing i don't like about CCG

I don't like it how they just have toons vp w/ like half of them under 80 laff, i think there should be a rule in CCG so that a maximum of 2 toons under 80 laff can go in a vp battle at a meeting, this rule would pretty much gurantee victory without leaving out the toons under 80 laff points

Switching "gears" in this thread

I have a couple VP questions that I'm sure has been answered before in all these threads, but I couldn't locate it... I also didn't want to start another thread so I thought this might be a good thread to post my questions in...

1) How does VP promotions work? How is it determined which level cog suit you get? The situation I had just recently had was after a successful run in the VP, I went from a level 5 cold caller, to a level 2 Telemarketer. What happened to level 1?

2) I also noticed that when you defeat the VP you also get a certain number of cog suit parts for the next level? How is this determined or do you autimatically get 8 out of 10 cog pieces for the next suit after each victory.

3) Does making additional factory runs AFTER getting all your cog suit pieces and merits play any part in getting to the next level of the cog suit? Basically what I'm asking is.... can you "bank" merit points and cog pieces for the next level BEFORE defeating the VP.

I am interested because I don't really understand sometimes how the process works and usually I just make sure my cog suit pieces are completed and my merits are full....and off I go to defeat another VP. However, I really would like to know if there is something we do in the VP or the factory for that matter other than defeating the cogs and VP that allows toons to come out with more parts merits etc.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to answer these questions from this "gaming-challenged" adult...

Each cog has 5 possible levels and the suits correspond to those levels. Cold Callers start at level 1, so the suits go from 1 - 5. Telemarketers are the second cog, their suits go from 2 - 6. That pattern continues through The Minglers. The Mr. Hollywoods start at level 8, but go through 50. When you get to Holly 12 the merits are eternally 5500, but there is a 1 point laff boost when you reach Holly 15, 20, 30 40 & 50. That is a total of 5 bonus lp.

When you get blasted by the VP at the beginning, you lose from 2 - 4 cog parts, the exact amount is random. You can check how many parts you lost after the first cog round, but it is a good idea not to have your book open when the VP is near the cage before the Skelecog round. There is a nasty bug which can remove you from the battle if that happens.

You can not "bank" merits or parts. You do not get any credit for extra factory runs, aside from gag experience points or tasks which you may have.

I hope this answers your questions.

The CCG is about inclusion. If you want to start excluding certain toons from your vp battles, then simply gather a group of your own friends and go vp with them.

Many experienced players like the challenge the lower laff toons add to the vp battle. And just so you know, many lower laff toons have more experience in vp than you or I do. Laff alone does not tell the whole story.

Why then, after I did a factory run with a friend the other day, did I get a "you gained a new disguise part" at the end, (which doesn't always show up even when you DO get a part) when I already had the whole thing? Do you somehow lose parts if you put off going to fight the VP? Was it just a glitch? Yes, I did already have the whole thing. I've had it for a while.

Yes it is a glitch. I get it frequently while working on those 5500 merits.

It does....and thanks so much for answering....

Also I learned something else new....I always wondered why some toons opened their book between battles in the VP....I was always thinking they were about to "jump ship"....or something....

Thanks again!!

It's mean how the "big" toons treat the cold callers like they can't do anything. They worked hard to finish getting all their suit pieces and that counts for something!

EDIT: I made this post when I was a TOTAL NOOB. Please disregard it completely.

I AM SOOOOO MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD! THOSE TREACHUROUS KNIVING WILD ANIMALS!!!!!!! I thought I was going to fight the VP for the third time. I hadn't one any of the others. I was on a full elevator with a good half-and-half of big guys and cold callers. At 0 all of the big guys, who had worked out a plan, got off and left us. THEY HAD CONCOCTED A PLAN TO GET RID OF ALL THE COLD CALLERS IN THE BUILDING!!! BEFORE THAT THEY HAD DONE THE SAME THING WITH ANOTHER GROUP AND JUST SAID "Oops. Oh well." I AM SOOOO MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAD!!! :T ::

I just don't understand what makes people act that way. Just because they are mr hollywoods and they're at a higher level than the cold callers doesn't mean they can be rude. It stinks how people act like total snobs because they are farther ahead in Toontown. I mean, it's just a game!

Are you sure that you are being rejected because you are a Cold Caller? Or could it be that you are trying to crash a full group of 8 friends who arranged to battle the VP together? I have a large group of friends and we do plan our VP battles together.
