I haven't seen the picnic tables since that playground came out. They were fun then, as it was new, but now, nobody cares. Just something to do if you're bored and there is nothing else better to do, I guess.

The purpose is to make a 3 year old giggle like it's the funniest thing he's ever seen and do it over and over again, lol.

The tables are there for you to have a picnic with your girlfriend, or beau.
A quiet place to talk, and look at each other. Ha Ha.

If they take that very short time limit on the picnic table away, it would be a good place to chat with other friends. Sadly, the time limit is so short that picnic tables are only fun for hopping on and off repeatly. [/IMO]
