Fed up with golf.

Just some things i'm fed up with about golf.

1. People jumping off the golf carts because THEY want to be first. I've got to say, this is seriously so annoying. What does it matter if you go first? I never really understand WHY people want to go first so bad.... Usually if i notice that they keep jumping off because they want to go first, i just go play with someone else. Is there a benefit of going first? Hmm.

2. Poor sports. Sometimes people make hole-in-ones. So why must we be stunked for this? Honestly, all the times i've made a hole-in-one were lucky shots and i don't appreciate being called stinky because i made a random shot and it happened to go in on the first try.

3. People leaving. Ok, i get it, you don't want to lose, but chances are i'm doing just as bad as you are. Especially if i'm playing on hard. I admit, i'm terrible at golf, but i don't give up, i just sick back and continue to try until it goes in. Sometimes I, too, get +3. We're not all perfect at golf

4. Letting your friend win. This is okay if you two are alone, but if i jump onto a cart and you and your friend follow, don't expect me to be happy when you continue to let your friend win by shooting 2 over par ON PURPOSE. This is time consuming, and it makes me kind of frustrated.

That said, anyone want to golf who is willing to play fair? I'm not necessarily looking for trophies....just something to do when i get bored.

Ugh, yeah. I deleted like all my sf's because i made a new character and am trying to stay off my main one. Deleting my friends has made it easier for me to stay off it and stay more on my new toon. Sorry, i should've said something first, but i did it in the middle of the night when no one was on. If you want a code for my new one let me know

I like min-golf. It's a relaxing thing to do, much like real golf. And I stink at real golf too. lol

Don't care if I'm first or last or anywhere inbetween. ANd I always try to encourage other folks who I'm playing with. You get a hole-in-one? Sweet! Grats to you, not boos. I think that's an awesome thing to see.

I've only just started playing mini-golf and don't always have time to play but I"m not going to map out just because I'm not having a good game. Where's the fun in that?

Well, i'm not blaming everyone that leaves, but sometimes you can just tell when someone leaves because they're losing.

Take for instance, last night i was playing with some dog, and we were on a pretty hard hole and she could NOT get it past this one spot. One time, I was with two really high-laff toons and I got a hole-in-one on the first hole. They had both gotten close, but didn't. One of the toons hit her ball as hard as she could and alt-f4ed. It was soo funny. She was like "You stink!". The other toon was fine. She was nice.

My response to number 1 would be to do just what you do, go play with someone else. I bet they turn into numbers 2 and 3 if you let them get on first after after all the shuffling to be seated first. Its not worth the time.

As far as number 2 goes, just turn down the volume, have a snack and just play. They are the ones that look foolish not you. Be the better person and don't let it get to you. If you do let t get to you then they win no matter what.

Think about it this way regarding number 3, if they leave you get one step closer to the 600 courses completed trophy, one less for them.

Lol, sometimes if i know i cant make a shot, ill purposefully over put. Its fun to watch it go flying :P

Actually if you are only in with one other toon you don't get the multi-player game or the win if they leave the game on you.
Had a toon leave on me today but luckily had 4 going in, with one being a friend so wasn't worried about not getting the multi-player ones.
My son has left the game but he is 6 and will be told to pay attention because he doesn't pay attention sometimes or it is close to his bed time, though I've told him not to exit like that, he needs to finish the game then bed.
