What a concept for the math impaired! (that would be me)
Although I've pretty much got it figured out by now, I think this is a great idea that could be a big help to our new members. Can't wait to see it!

First Attempt - Feedback please!
OK - I apologize for the format and clarity - I'll keep working on it, but here's the first pass. I know it's a bit hard to read. I'll try to improve it.
Caveats: - I have not double checked this or applied it in battle yet - there could be mistakes right now, if you see something obvious or find something wrong, let me know. Assumptions: - Lure Bonus 50% (Doesn’t apply to Sound) - Combo attack bonus 20% - All gags are maxed! - Traditional rounding rather than floor/ceil is used for rounding. It appears Disney uses Ceiling rounding for display purposes, but not in the real damage calculation - more experiments coming. Made an additional correction (level 5 cog & 4 people using squirt) and converted the document into a PDF format - you should be able to print it to fit to page now. Link to PDF version of the file: Minimal Gag Use Table.pdf Let me know what you think. Lady Googlebrains Last edited by Lady Googlebrains; 12-06-2005 at 07:32 PM. |

Combo attack bonus 20% (Doesn’t apply to Drop)
You meant Trap, right? Drops do get the bonus. edit- looking at the chart, it looks like you did mean drop. The drop tables will need to be redone to account for the bonus- for example, you can kill a level 9 with a safe plus a ton (60 + 45 + 21 = 126) and a level 10 with a pair of safes (60 + 60 + 24 = 144) |

I'll test it about drop
When I was reading about gag strategy on the Disney Players Guide, they said the combo bonus applied to Sound, Throw & Squirt, but didn't include Drop.
I'll try it tonight, but if someone else can quickly confirm that combined drops get the 20% bonus I'd appreciate it and can update. If this is the case, the table still works as least, but for drop isn't optimized. Lady Googlebrains |

Excellent idea and thank you for the data. Once you have figured out any bugs it may have, it's something I will happily print out and use!! I am definately challenged when it is time to add up whats going to kill something. I've used to big a gag or to small a gag many a times thinking I could finish it off. Thanks for taking the time to do this.. Awesome!

My next table may be more helpful
It will be a max gag augmentation table. What combos to choose to help a level 6 gag take out the cog.
Should possibly be more useful, but thought of it part way through making this one. I'll try to have that one by next week between RL and playing TT. ![]() I'll also test and comb over this table over the weekend so I can verify it. (Nit picking is my profession! Just ask my colleagues & my husband!) Lady Googlebrains |

Great Job!
I am at the point where I was about to make one for myself but you just saved me the time and effort!! No need to re-invent the wheel! Will be looking forward to your test results.

There are a couple of places where knowing the exact mechanism for rounding becomes important- if the game rounds up lure bonus damage, and then also rounds up synergy bonus damage, you make be able to get kills where the raw math suggests you'd fall a couple of points short.
Specifically, it would be useful if someone could get a group together and check these out to see whether they actually result in kills or not: 4 @ throw1 vs lured L5 3 @ squirt2 vs lured L5 4 @ squirt2 vs lured L6 2 @ squirt3 vs lured L5 2 @ squirt4 vs lured R7 3 @ squirt4 vs lured R9 3 @ squirt5 vs lured R11 |

Awesome job! I've been meaning to do something similar myself and actually started, but it was too much time away from playing LOL (unless I do it during work, hmmm . . . ). Anyway, I will definitley be printing out your table and keeping it in my handy reference book. Some suggestions for other possible tables and/or additional combinations . . . What if the gags AREN'T maxed (useful for many a ccg run). Also, what if one of the gags is an SOS - I'm pretty sure the SOS gags cause more damage than an off the shelf gag. I'll pay attention tonight when I burn a card to confirm this.

Thanks! So useful! Here's another...
Cool posts in this thread. Thanks for all the effort guys. I'll appreciate this info as I play!
Here's what I've been using. It's from another thread in TTC somewhere. I keep it open in notepad while I play Toontown (I play window'ed). Note! Robber Barons require more hitpoints than other cogs. I haven't investigated if that applies to all cashbots or not. 1st number is Cog level 2nd number is HP needed to defeat cog 3rd number is HP assuming lured and bonus Cog Damage Lured 1: 6 4 2: 12 8 3: 20 14 4: 30 20 5: 42 28 6: 56 38 7: 72 48 8: 90 60 9: 110 74 10: 132 88 11: 156 104 12: 200 134 Edited to update the Lvl 12

The SOS cards are interesting too. I'll think about that. I know that the top level sound SOS does more than 50 damage (80?). But it's difficult for the other players to know what's being used or to communicate that if you're not SFs with them. I'll keep tinkering away. Lady Googlebrains |

"I think you should use lure" ==> I'm calling SOS trap "I'm going to use drop" ==> Bessie is coming "Let's use sound" ==> Lil or Moe has been summoned (or Bessie's understudy) "Save your powerful gags" ==> My SOS is a 5-star "Can you help me" ==> This isn't going to killl them, folks |
