I'm pretty sure that 4 anvils will not kill a level 11 ((4x30)+24=144) and 3 one tons plus an anvil will not kill a level 12 ((3x45)+30+33=198). I'm not really "up" on anything lower than the anvils so I can't comment on those.

Ack - wrong value for Anvil!

Drat - I had the wrong value for Anvil in my spreadsheet - I'll update it hopefully at lunch today.

OK did the redo, will update my original post shortly. This required updated the following drop attacks: 2 toons vs. a 9, 3 toons vs. a 7-10, and 4 toons vs. 9-12

Thanks for spotting my error!

lvl12 HP

I'm of the understanding that the HP for a lvl12 cog is 182. I've taken it out with a TNT plus muffin.

How did you arrived at 200HP?

When was the last time you took it out with TNT and muffin? And where were you?

That USED to be the value of the 12...but some time after Sellbot HQ came out it was raised to 200. A maxed piano and elephant trunk will not take out a 12 ...not in the mint, not in the boss cog fights I've been in. The last I tried it took 200 to kill the 12 in a building.

That said...there have been a few times I thought we weren't using enough gag power and the 12 died. But, I'm not a math wiz so perhaps there was enough with bonuses.

You're right DM. Initially it was a change for VP, then it went across the board. So now a tnt and a hose, fruit pie, or elephant trunk will do the trick as it now takes 200 damage to kill a 12. Also, a hose and a max piano is required to take down the 12.

I'll be adding augmenting TNT & Piano next

Will probably have that on Monday.

I used 200 for level 12 because that's my understanding, although someone said that thought the Robber Baron took more?

Haven't had a chance to experiment with that yet, but as I've been playing today I've been recording damage & bonus damage points so I can determine the rounding method being used.

200 is now the magic number, no more, no less. I've tested this many times already, and its the same for HW, RB, BW, and BC cogs.

It's pretty accurate for all I know, but there level 1 portion has been cut off by about 2 squares.

Do you mean where if 4 are participating in say using Squirt unlured for a level 1 and I only have 2 Squirt Flowers?

If the additional gags don't help, I didn't include a square even if 3 or 4 were participating in hitting the cog - and indication that some can pass.

There is at least one spot in the table where I think Storm Cloud does the trick and you can't do it for less and additional gags aren't needed. Hold on, I'll check and edit this shortly.

There is it, a level 9 cog that's lured with 2 participants. 2 Fire Hoses won't do - 30+30+30+12=102. A single Stormcloud 80+40 = 120 does the trick. So the 2nd person can pass, so I only included a graphic for 1 Stormcloud even though 2 are attacking.

Does this explain it?

Toontown always rounds up!

After some experimenting this weekend, it looks like bonus damage is always rounded up. (Ceiling function.)

Example - Seltzer bottle & Firehose on lured cog -
21+30 = 51 damage
.5*51 = 25.5 rounded up to 26
.2*51 = 10.2 rounded up to 11

Total of 88 damage.

I'll make any updates needed, and correct a mistake I spotted sometime this week and expand on the augmentation table.

I think those will be the final updates unless some new info comes to light.

When it is finished, will it be possible to sticky a printer friendly version?

Just an aside.

Thats correct, and I'd like to add that there is one instance that sticks in my mind where this causes a false sense of security.

When a player has a cream pie and the damage level reaches 37, the lure bonus is rounded to 19, making it 37+19=56 damage in theory. However, be aware that at this point, your cream pie will not kill a lured level 6 cog (which should only take 56 damage to kill).

That is the only time I've noticed that rounding up lure bonus is affecting the ability to kill cogs.

This is true, my 46 laffer is at that stage right now. Maybe a deliberate manipulation by Disney?
