Mean Toon

OK, there was a 15 laffer on today's 5:00 (my time) VP run. He got on every elevator and ditched after the time ran out. To add to that, he kept saying "I need more jellybeans.", he carried none of his possible level 1 gags, and he had 1 laff left. <edit> Even if you guys can't do anything, people should be able to look out for this guy.

I answered this in the GD thread as well but I want to be sure everyone knows to be prepared to go with 7 in your groups. This griefer's main purpose is to shuffle the elevators. Don't let his actions dictate what you do. If we all just get on and stay on the elevator...he will get tired of his game sooner or later. Take a few screen shots and send them to Disney along with a descripton of his actions.

I can't join the other side

Ever since they did the last major update when we do vp and cfo runs if the other side has only 3 toons and I go to join to help out the program won't let me join in. What is my problem? I never had this problem before.

I find that when there are 3 or less to start with (say you only load with 6 or 7) I never have a problem joining the other side in battle after finishing my side. The problem seems to come when a toon on the other side discos. When this happens, I can not join in the battle but have to stand and watch what happens. This actually has been the case for many months (maybe always ). Frustrating not being able to help.

I've recently experienced the problem of not being able to join a group of three in the cog round and again in the skelecog round. I think a toon disconnected or alt'd out of the elevator in that battle. Didn't seem right to me that I was locked out of both battles when the disconnect happened so early.

However, I was left alone on my side when my partner disconnected in a CFO battle and many hours later the other side was able to join me and help me finish my cogs.

So...I think it has something to do with the recent update and perhaps it has something to do with the VP. Send a bug report to Disney.

In the meantime...if YOU are the one who disconnects, try to sign back on as soon as possible in order to get your "ghost" out of the battle. From experience, I realize that it isn't always possible to reconnect in a timely fashion...so just do the best you can and..once again..send the bug report.

I'm making this a general statement and those who are guilty will know who they are. I like your rule about getting on the elevator and stay there NO SHUFFLING .... the past week or two I have seen too many who get off because their friend did not make it on or they do not like the mix .... I think and believe that if you're going to have rules and the people agree to them they should abide by them OR do not become a member AND do not join us on the runs.
Thanks for all the good toons who started and participate on these runs.

You can not stop anyone from joining our runs... that is until toontownonline.com (aka Disney) decides to give me that private district I keep asking for...

Until then, you run with who is there...

The only toon you can control is yourself...

If you signed up to be CCG then you stay on the elevator no matter who gets on... If you don't like the miss or your friend ( or in the past when TT wasn't such a hog and I could run 2 pcs through the VP ) or your spouse doesn't get on... TOUGH, you're a member, you load, you stay.

When you became a member you agreed to abide by whatever rules we had, and get on and stay on has ALWAYS been a rule.

If it's a CCG member... and they're shuffling, you can always snap a pic... write down the day, time and what run it is... and send it to one of the Ambassadors.

Since we can't have that perfect world that only Walgreen's Drug Store does on tv... we have to live with the shufflers, griefers, or whatever you wish to call them.

I really wish sometimes that I could take remote control of toons.
There is no real way to force anyone to follow the guidelines we have in place, we have to rely on their dignity to fulfill the obligations they agreed to when they signed up as a member.
I can't count the number of times I left friends standing behind at the platform to fill a vacant spot or because we simply weren't able to get on the same load together.
The rules/guidelines are simple and easy to understand. I'm not sure we could make it any easier to understand, even if we tried. There will always be those that feel they are above the rules, just as in RL.
I do hope the toons guilty of this, will consider the detriment their actions are having on the others who are there for a fun shuffle-free time and not to mention the defacement of the guild as a whole.

awww, you're making me sort of second home sick. i love American TV *scrambles around to persuade parents to treat their poor student son to a break on the Atlantic Coast...

and with regards to Granny Pickles' post:

many a time have i had to jump on, leaving friends in the lobby, both on my uber and on my large toon, its just a fact of life i'm afraid. we will get shufflers, and we have to deal with them in the only way we can, by having toons prepared to jump on board at the last second.

Wink Just Remember

Nothing is perfect in this world. And certainly not in Toontown. I think all of us have sat at our computers and cussed certain toons. What we have to remember is it is a game. Many who play are children. Many more don't have much more sense than a child. Many more than that have less sense than children do.
I have an uber in training. I have still not been able to win the vp with her toon she has made several atempts. I cannot tell you the grief she gets in the pit. I know these are most likely not ccg members. But really does it matter. What I enjoy whispering back to them is Toons of the World Unite. It usually shuts them up. If it doesn't I just agree with them. Yes this is too risky for me. We will always have griefers and we will always have shufflers. We might as well accept it and move on..... It is part of the game.... And after all there is no crying in toontown... Only sadness until you are happy again then you can leave the playground!!!!!!!!!!!

HeeHee CCG I have a little problem also. There are two Granny Pickles in CCG lol. Many of the training run districts ect get mailed to Pat Granny Pickles instead of me. How can we fix this for both of us?

I see a small difference.
She has a space between Granny and Pickles... you don't.
Maybe that's where the confusion lies?

Yep there's a space but the problem is some people send PMs by popping in Granny Pickles to PM me. Hers pops up in the search and the PM gets sent to her on accident. It's no ones fault however it is a problem. Many many training runs I have been delayed in PMing my team or late to the run because I didn't receive the training run district as it was sent to Pat instead of myself. Also even personal PMs have been sent her way. Neither of us should have to change our TTC names to fix this, but is there anything that can be done within CCG to fix as best as we can?
