Do you think that their should be an offical "Revenge Run" thread? I think it would be a good idea and it would show off the work of toons who put in the effort to go again to help our ubers or toons that just didnt make it.

I vote yes... maybe it could also outline how to indicate you need a revenge run. I just found out that standing in front of the gag shop by the lightpost is a signal... I wondered why all those toons always asked me if I won when I was just resting there..Thought they just wanted to know..lol

I know that for myself, I do report revenge runs. I can't help what others do or do not do for reporting if they were present in a revenge run. Were you speaking of more than that? If so, please elaborate.

As far as "showing off the work of toons who put in the effort...", that's not what we revenge for is for bragging rights. We do it b/c contrary to what so many people think of the CCG as a whole (here lately), we actually do care and want to see others win. I think a simple run report like all the others are done with "Revenge" noted somewhere in that particular days thread would suffice.

Do you know how many threads will start b/c people want a revenge? WAY TOO MANY. One will be started by each toon that wants a revenge and before you know it, we'll have a new thread titled, the "CCG did me wrong b/c I posted a "I need a revenge" thread and nobody repsonded to me or took me to get revenge." I can see it now. My best advice is to hang out by the gag shop in DG (for VP) or in DDL (for CFO). Many will ask if you won, play again? Etc. There are plenty of speedchat phrases to get your point across in these situations.

Now Skinny, if you're talking about just advice on where to go, speedchat phrases to use, regarding a revenge run, etc, I'm all for that. (For example an immediate open/shut one post advice stickied thread.) But goodness, I really can see it now with the CCG main page flooded with nobody took me for revenge and it's all the CCG's fault threads.

I actually meant more like just a thread where you would report a run. Instead of going into a thread such as "CCG: Sunday Battle Reports" or something, to go into a thread called "Revenge Runs."

Just to show that their is a differnce between that and a normal run. Not people asking for those runs, (I agree that wouild be madness) a thread to report those runs. Hope that made more sence...

I think it's a good idea. The runs where the uber went sad generally get reported, it would feel kinda nice to let everyone know when they make it too.

I vote NO. The opportunity to report a revenge run is the same as reporting the regular run. Just because there is a special thread for it still doesn't mean I will report it. I don't report revenges unless it is a continuation of my previous run. Leave it to the daily victory thread. And if the revenge toon wants it reported bad enough - then I guess they can learn to report it themselves.

I agree. What makes a revenge run anymore special than a regular run?

i vote yes. the best vp run i ever did was the revenge run for 2 ubers. i absolutly loved it. too bad no-one ever wrote a report of that.

but i don`t think it should be in the normal day thread. they will be lost in all those other reports. why isn`t this in the poll section anyway?

IMHO I'd say no because I already report revenge runs in with the regular ones. It would be one more thing to do to report the regular run in one thread and the revenge run in another.

I agree there should not be an extra thread for revenges, not just because I don't personally report runs, but because the revenge run thread would be 20 pages long in half a day. Then, less people would be complaining in the Complaint Department thread, and signing up in the Extra Special Runs thread.
It's a continuation of the regular run. If they are posted, they are posted there. Some of us are too busy running 3, 4 or sometimes 5 revenges to post. See Skipper Jill and Captain Ken for examples.

I agree with those who said revenges should be in the regular thread. I (usually) notate that it was a revenge at the top of the report.

It's hard enough getting people to post the runs in the first place, then all the complaints about "my run didn't get posted". I've been on a bit of a run-posting strike myself lately LOL. I'd rather spend my time playing vs trying to figure out which thread each victory belongs in.

I actually think it would be nice to even combine all the daily threads into a weekly thread "Run reports for Sun, Feb 24 - Sat, Mar 1" as an
example. Nice and neat and hung-up after a few weeks.

HEY! I resemble, uhm, I mean resent, well no, resemble, that remark! And ya know what's even better? When I'm allowed to run Captain Ken and get to off him instead of SKipper for a change! Ha Ha! I know Alvin was having a difficult time last night with the fact that Captain Ken was being piloted by a girl at last nights VP - Whee! That was fun!
