I do agree that the pairings were not the best, but as a long time CCG member, I was a little disappointed that everyone chose to give up and go to the playground after the cog round. It is always unfortunate to lose other team members, whether uber or not, but even with four of us left, I was willing to give it a try. I wasn't staying to try to solo it without the rest of you - I'm not that crazy, nor did I have the time or unites/sos cards to do that. Oh well, there's always another run, another day.

I also hope that the 'stinky' comment I heard was directed at the cogs and not at another player.
Aw, I am sorry about leaving like that! I had thought we all wanted to the playground after someone had said "Let's go back to the playground" towards the end of the cog round; when it was just us two left I had said "Let's go back to the playground" to you- I have done a 4-person VP before but never a 2-person; sorry for letting you down My friend was very angry with me after she went sad as I had said to stay when she wanted to get off the elevator due to there being low laff toons and was whispering sf chatting me angrily, so I admit I was also in a hurry to get to her and calm her down.
As for the stinky comment, I was so busy trying to advise my friend during the cog round that I had not paid attention to the speedchat- all I do remember is her saying "we are in trouble" and "help!" a lot- if it was from her, I apologize- she's a kid, and she tends to get aggravated easily when she is not winning.
Hope to meet you again in another run, promise not to bail no matter what next time;]

I was the 16 laffer who survived the cog round only to run away, run away!

I was more than willing to stay with four toons. One toon threw a hole right away and that kind of cut it for me. I guess I could have stayed and waited to see the split for skels - sorry!

With less than four toons, I assume (and I know what assume means!) that Disney will pair the big toons and leave me solo. My li'l guy doesn't have enough cards to sneak through skels by himself and Oh, BTW, for a 16 to make it through skels, he had better be real, real lucky or have a whole pile of cards.

I would have been happy to stay. Heck, I would only have lost one Level 7 gag if i went sad and whatever paltry number of SOS cards I would have used. I'm not sure about the other toons, but it probably would have been more costly.

I think that this was another case of the limited ability to communicate causing a quick decision, when maybe we could have stayed and had a memorable VP run. As it was, I still got on the 'vator and got to play a cog round with some great toons.

Hope to see you all again soon,

Purplesmirk

PS On my screen, I was the third toon to leave for the playground, so I didn't understand the post about when it was "just two of us left."

No apologies are needed - I haven't had much time for runs lately and think I was just happy to be able to play for a bit and wanted to give it a try.

I actually had time yesterday to play too and got my VP run and a bunch of CFO runs too, before TT had a meltdown and started acting very weird.

My pup is back to 5500 merits again (on the 12/15/19 cycle) so she will be lurking in the factory when she's allowed out to play.

Look forward to playing with all of you again sometime.

Heh, sorry for any confusion- I had thought it was just me and her blue puppy left- I probably missed your name on my screen, might have since I was extremely distracted with lots of angry whispering from my friend.

I am always assuming things too, and in this case I had assumed that the consensus was playground when someone had suggested it in the cog round; guess assuming makes a donkey out of me! Next time I'll assume the opposite... lol!

& Just have a random question that I've been trying to figure out if anyone could answer; For VPs and CFOs, do the cog/skelecog rounds follow examples like option one or two?

1) There are 32 cogs that will come out. 16 will go to one side and 16 to the other, no matter what.

2) There are 32 cogs that will come out. Depending on how fast one side or the other finishes, one side could end up killing 20 and the other side only 12.

If anyone could shed some light on that, I'd love to know.

The 2nd scenario is true for all of the cog rounds in Boss battles.

VERY disappointed in all those toons that stood on the platform and watched us leave short and watching toons shuffle off too. I found myself coming off the steps to pack on this already short load along with Miss Petunia because it was evident nobody else had plans to load with small suits. Shame on everyone of ya. (I know we couldn't possibly have that many RL emergencies at once.) Remember, suit size does not mean experience or lack of experience.

Odd load in that it looked like there were some timer issues on the first loads - either that or a lot of shuffling.

Someone shuffled off this elevator and I managed to get on - thanks as my son and hubby were already on the elevator, but I could have waited. As our elevator headed up, it looked like we were going one short, but they appeared as we exited. Cog round went well, as did the skelecogs - I'm glad my son's insistance that he use his wedding cake and allowing 4 fresh skeles come out in the skelecog round didn't cause trouble with the uber in the row. I tried to tell him not to, but.... LOL 9 year olds like to use their big gags.

Pie fight went very well, we had some great back stunners. Remember that once the VP gets on the Helipad, it's important to not call for a toon up unless you are really low. Stepping infront of stunners is not smart and can cause either additional damage to yourself and others or cause the VP to go on a jumping spree if we don't keep him stunned and pushed.

I am guessing at the outcome. I waited for the team to hit the playground but never saw anyone come back sad. Perhaps the sound/drop workers from the cog round can fill in? Thank you to Captain Boigenphooey for helping to try to lead the team in the right direction.

Normally I don't mind going sad. Gags sometimes miss and it can come down to dumb luck. And with 15 lp - you need just a little more luck than usual.

What bothered me - besides the gag working and obvious lack of reading CCG guidelines was the disrespect displayed. When someone asks you "Let's work together", responding with "No thank you" cannot be perceived as anything positive. Just because a toon has less lp than you, possibly quite a bit less, remember that that toon might have more experience than you realize.

Again, I am used to going sad. But I will not now or ever accept disrespect.

Oh, my gosh, you can't believe its happening again ...

WOW! What was with all the shuffling? I saw shuffling early on so I got on an elevator, only to be abandoned by all but 2 and so I Alt-F4'd. Came in again 14 mins into the loading and there was STILL shuffling. Pushed my way to the front and got on again, with a full load this time. Both times I couldn't see what was going on because there were so many big suits in front of the elevator.

During the Cog fight I was paired with most of the lower suits and got them through in one piece, though my nerves were shot. It wasn't until the last few cogs that we got a good team strategy going. All of the low suits got paired together for the Skelecog round and they managed to get through, although one was down to 6/66 LP at one point. I threw out a +10 LP unite as they were finishing up so that we were all maxed before the pie fight. The pie fight went well with some excellent stunners, but we still managed to loose the CC1. Congrats to Kippy Zippenflipper for making it to HW30.

Well, the only thing I can tell ya Wasted is they don't appear on the CCG list, so hopefully they were weekend randoms and won't bother us again. Stinks that Wasted got, well, wasted again - twice in one day is no fun. I would have hung back, but there was a lot of shuffling going on, so was trying to pack those elevators.
