Just saw a couple of people in there"training" their new piano gag and got upset and started bike horning the cogs when lured, while depriving me of no tune up( i survived 2 straight rounds of cogs attacking me too :P)

how do you tell someone is "training" a gag, rather than just using a gag. especially when it is, although much less powerful than it will get, a very powerful gag.

are we only "allowed" to use gags that are maxxed?? i shouldn't have been using my birthday cakes until they were able to do 100 laff damage? 75 or even 95 not enough??

seriously, one toon can only carry 3 grand pianos. how could you possibly say they were "training" the gag and not just using it. would it have been better if they used their safe?

I realize that throw and squirt are meant to be the main gags used to attack cogs during CCG runs, but what you did was plan ol' greifing, sorry.

When you are using a gag, most expect that it is maxed. It is up to you to let people know that it isn't (usually done with "I haven't found it yet). An unmaxed piano can have very bad results, if it leaves a cog alive that a maxed piano would have killed. And since pianos are usually used on 12s, an unmaxed piano can leave a 12 alive...which is practically instant death to most two-track ubers. Other instances of working gags that are frowned upon is weak sound against high level cogs, especially when others want you to do otherwise. Also trapping with weak trap gags such as banana peels, rakes, or marbles.

Note: In CFO and CJ, LLKR is almost always ignored. At least in my experience. People prefer to sound the cogs away. Sometimes weak traps are aimed at low level cogs when cogs have to be lured (usually due to 12s in the lineup, or cogs bigger than 8 when nobody has foghorns left).

First, don't know who all was there for first time, because I didn't plan on reporting (friend said CCG, I said "now?" She said "Yes", and I went!). Well, me and my 2 friends, Mocha Lisa and Mountain Cat, went in and all 3 (ubers) went sad. Don't really know about the rest Cog round, me and Mocha Lisa were paired together with 2 high toons, and by our lead we sounded the first ones. After a couple rounds Mocha signaled for a Lure and then it happened. That dreadful missed Lure. Apparently between rounds someone bailed (according to my friend still in there)... and she was sided with three. Since she has organic cake, she targeted the 12, the big toon lured, and the mid-laffer targeted the 8... sending our 19-laffer back to the garden to be greeted by her friends. Then we waited around a little until we saw a familiar face or two (always looking for Granny Spunky when I need some big guns... hehe j/k always love going with Granny though). Granny showed up and was quickly enlisted, Mountain Cat got on her big toon, and the revenge was on its way! And here it is:

7/7 Danced Revenge Run
Clerk Clara

+*Fly Swatter TM5 25
+King Buster Wackynugget ND3 53
+Miss Crazy Superzapper HW50 111?
+*Mocha Lisa M&S6 34

*Deputy Snuffy Kookymuddle HW50 123
*Granny Spunky Twinklemuffin HW50 127
Big Coconut HW50 122

Man... what a fun revenge. Something to note were the 3 Cogs missed used on my side of Skelecogs! lol... I decided it was a good time to use mine, Granny used hers, and Mocha lured. Lure missed and we taunted the cogs endlessly. Then Snuffy lured with presentation and Mocha used his cogs miss. After that, it was cake with Lure Left Kill Left (LLKL)... until the last 3 cogs where Mocha and Snuffy both felt it would be best to wedding cake the remaining cogs. Boy that was fun! Tried not to get run over during pie round when the VP was getting hammered back so fast we couldn't move out of the way! All for Clerk Clara! w00t!

I felt a sort of weird vibe during that run. Maybe it was just me noticing it, there certainly were enough strong toons around. I am sorry I wasn't helping very much, I have just started getting use to being on my laptop and can't really jump that well on it.

Seated 8, 30 evidence max. A little tip about the evidence round- toons do not have to be tooned up for every small injury. My confort zone ends when I lose 4 teeth, others might be different but that is about when you should throw evidence at them. After they were tooned up, the stun bonus would come up and they would have healed anyway, losing stunning time. It didn't affect the battle too much, we still went through, although I noticed the stunners of this run ended with half their laff. Phew!

I didnt wanna put a negative spin on it since we all danced, but it did seem to be a heck of a lot more difficult than it shoulda been. Just my observation.

I enjoyed this run. Even thoug we were without any maxed RB's we managed to get through just fine. As there were 4 that said they'd rather stomp goons I grabbed a crane (not my usual thing) and was finally getting the hang of it when someone stole it from me. . . and finished the CFO off.

We had 12 seated at one point during the cannon round, but ended up with 6. Got quite a few very necessary stuns in after the CJ stopped jumping. I know I ran over to Mini Max to toon him up from 35.

Right - that's not working gags. That's ensuring the lure doesnt miss. It's a basic practice.

Working gags is when someone keeps using a gag regardless of everyone else and whether it's in anyone's best interest. Marbles on a 12 without someone to piano on it is working a gag. A gag worker wont even consider maybe no one has heavy drop. A trap worker will often use a weak trap under a big cog, which actually contributes toward a missed lure. Someone luring with blue magnet regardless of whether someone has goggles out or they're needed to supplement a hit to a big cog. TU workers will pull a single sound gag on lured cogs. This happens a LOT in the VP on the last short set. It no longer has to be for unmaxed gags as some might be determined to zero out their gag. Why in a boss run? I dont know.

TU Lure Sound and Trap workers are extremely easy to catch, and most can tell the difference between someone using a gag for fun or the novelty of it versus working.

Yep- it was missed lure, again. So much fun. Part of it was my own fault. I had a cogs miss and was debating on whether to use it then ( a level 12 and a 8) or on the next full set. I figured we could take out the 12 and possibly survive a hit from the eight ( I guess I figured wrong ). I opted for holding off till next set to use it ( this way I can use the sos for holding my back over so I can check my shoelaces. I had fun anyway. I do expect to go sad on any run or I wouldn't play a 15lper.
