Hmm, that's strange. Supernova definitely is not there in my elevator screenshot. Oh well, probably a weird bug or something. Did Izza throw his hole down just after Supernova went sad? If so, that's probably the sad bug.

Sorry 'bout that. I got in the elevator and then the lights went out, my computer didn't turn off (I have battery backup for it) but the wireless did (no backup for that)

However, that didn't stop us from doing a great job together. I know the other side had a toon that was drop happy. When I checked his gags, he was not maxed in drop. I assume he was working drop. I repeatedly saw many, "you should choose a different gag" coming from their side. You are there to win the battle, help everyone else dance at the end, and have a good time with your fellow CCG'er. He had drops as small as anvil's, yikes...those drops when untrained, are much more likely to miss. We had a 9x5 BC configuration. Not too many leftover. I threw a gag up all before we went in. However, I know that not all the toons benefited from it. Sorry, I know I was low on gags. Hope the ones that didn't get any were okay. The boss was a real stinker. I was fine for a while, then the phantom hits started to get me. Thank you zach for saving me He ended up giving me two unites to save my hide. This battle took an entire hour.

I get by with a little help from my friends!
![]() Scout (Lemme Be) Reports that on: Jul. 18, 2008 1930 CST 4/4 Danced for Pink Slip - Multiple +Lemme Be Fl3 Bearly Nunya Fl3 Miss Bananaswirl BC34 +Sweet Cheeks BC38 + Together in Cog Round I had to leave Toontown and sleep to be able to come and post this run. I understand it's summer, and all of that. The loading for this runtime was still a huge dissapointment. Elevator jumpers hopped and then stand in front of the loading deck so that noone else can see, and/or get a chance to pack the elevator. Please be considerate and move yourself out of the way if you are now unable to board because you hopped, thanks. My hat is off to these awesome toons, who I am lucky enough to also call my friends. Though the toons we were on were not secret friends, we were able to pull together with awesome teamwork that any of you would have enjoyed being a part of as well if you happened to stay on the elevator. The CEO can be beaten with two toons, which two of us in the load have done in the past. All that was needed for this run was one Prof Pete. Imagine that. This was the highlight of my weekend so far.

This run was already reported on the website (thanks!), so I'm taking what had been reported there and augmenting with the additional info I have for this thread (I'm sorry if you had planned on doing it--it's been a few hours since it was filed.).
Crazy Soupy Gigglechomp "borrowing" from the website, reports: Jul. 18, 2008 2215 CST 7/7 Danced for Summon Cog Actually, I got a Yesman invasion for it Miss Lollipop 106 BF5 <--Suit Promo!! +Rodney Bear 120 BW26 Mr. Cogeater 120 AC5 Rosie Hulahopper 126 BW33 +Crazy Poppenhopper 123 BF4 +Sugarplum 108 BF2 +Crazy Soupy Gigglechomp 110 AC7 Roxy BS5 -- Disconnected + Together in Cog Round After our side finished, I was surprised to see only 3 toons on the other side. From my elevator shots, Roxy was the one missing from the original report. I know she was there for some of the time, since I saw some of her speech bubbles. During the cogs, there was quite a bit of SF chat from the other side, but it never covered up any gag choices. The CJ's remark: Attack! stayed there the whole time, which may have caused the SF bubbles to be spaced in between the gag choices! Someone from the other side must have thought that gag choices over there were not ideal, since I heard a "That wasn't nice!" once. Anyway, for the evidence round we seated 6 toons on the jury. I have no shots at all for it, though, so I've no idea how many pieces of evidence we had in our bundles. There were several stun bonuses, and the battle didn't seem to take as long as some have--I think I finished at full laff or close to it. Very good teamwork! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ smvb for Crazy Soupy Gigglechomp Reports that on: Jul. 18, 2008 1345 CST 7/7 Danced for Summon Unknown Daphne Sparklebee 109 BF1 <--First Victory!!!! +Fuzzy Bear 119 AC7 Captain C.J. Pancakes With Syrup 109 BF3 + Together in Cog Round There were two jumpers off of this originally very short-suited elevator. Special thanks to Rivn and Crazy Binky Blubberflinger for packing on! Captain C.J. Purplesnout was not present in the rear elevator shot, and indeed, the other side turned out to be short-handed during the cog round after I ran around to watch them finish. Rivn joined them to help them finish up and toon up before the evidence round. For the evidence round, we had 8 toons on the jury with POE 34. Originally there were only three of us at the pan, but after a while, a fourth toon joined us. I think we may have received one bonus, but I can't remember. While some inexperience was evident, everyone was working their hardest to get the job done, and in the end, our evidence was weightier than that of the cogs! A very special congratulations to Mutley Barkenwoof and Daphne Sparklebee for their first CJ wins! And congratulations to Rivn for a laff boost! (Thanks for jumping on a low suit elevator with a laff boost at stake!) Whoopee! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ smvb for Crazy Soupy Gigglechomp Reports that on: Jul. 18, 2008 2130 CST 8/8 Danced for TOW Gag-Up Squirt +Cool Chip 106 BC5 +Fancy Gigglewoof 111 TW5 Miss Cuddles Wackymuffin SC4 +Prof. Zippety Snorklefish 99 SC4 Banana Rama PP2 Doctor Sparklehopper RB50 +Crazy Soupy Gigglechomp 110 RB16 Sheriff Spunky Wondertoon PP2 + Together in Cog Round I had read about big suits standing around and watching while elevators went off short, but I hadn't seen it until now. I was late for the run, and as I came up the stairs on the side, I saw toons watching what I assumed was a full elevator. I couldn't see from where I was standing. But then a toon on the elevator said, "One more?" and I realized there was a space left. So I pushed my way through the toons watching and hopped onto it. My first screenshot shows 5 seconds to go. A little disappointing to see the big suits standing there waiting to see who else would pack on. The cog round was a little rough around the edges, with gags picked at the same time that were at cross-purposes. But no one was ever in real danger, and good teamwork and toon-up prevailed to pick up the pieces. It made it more interesting than your average CFO cog battle. The crane round went pretty well also. I was on a crane, and one toon was standing to my left (when the cogs were coming out on my right). I guess they were getting the lay of the land and deciding what to do. I didn't see them too much after a certain point in the battle. It might have been more helpful to help Cool Chip stomp cogs as they came out, since I think he was by himself for almost all of the battle, although at times, more goons were coming out the other side, and none were coming out our side. The goons had begun to swarm out at the end, but by that time, the CFO had had enough. Great job everyone! Too bad the reward was a little stinky.... Last edited by smvb; 07-19-2008 at 11:40 PM. Nice hits make a fast, safe run...thanks everybody. Reminder to be careful not to take a crane when the craner gets knocked off temporarily. If it's available after they regain their feet and move away, that's different, and then it's fine.

Thank you BlueSkyz for the TOW TU - You Rock!!! In another thread I made the observation that the first few loads seem light on experience ( i can't even get past the first part ). Well, I packed on the first load after the start time (09:32 according to time.gov) when someone jumped to try to balance out the load. Unfortunately we ended up loosing all but one CC anyway. On my side, it was a challenge getting everyone working together during the cog round. We all made it but ended up low on laff. I think things may have gone a bit better on the other side. BlueSkyz used a TOW Tune Up before the skele round started to get everyone laff'ed up- thanks a million! Still, someone ran before the skele round - I just didn't catch who. In the skele round, the laff didn't ended up balanced well. There were 3 on our side, but two of the three were over 100 laff. We had a lot of missed lures, but still ended up at full laff in the end. On the other side there was a lot of "lets work together" "don't use sound on lured cogs" etc. We got over there just in time to see 3 of the 4 go sad. After hopping in, tuning up, and finishing up the cogs it was 4 of us off to the pie round. BlueSkyz did some fantastic close stunning and we had the VP to the second ramp in no time. We lost our remaining CC1 after that. She was getting low on laff, but decided to run clear up to the top level. I chased and tried to tune her up, but she missed a couple jumps with her back turned before I could catch up. ![]() It took almost a half hour to finish off the vp. We had him right to the edge at least 5 times only to have him creep back up. (I need more up close stunning practice..) Three of us made it though and it was an adventure! Call out to all CCGers: There are a lot of people going sad in the first couple loads. Lets push up front and balance out the experience! |

Although lure left, kill right is in our guidelines, it's not necessary to use it when the toons have fully developed gags, and enough laff to take a gag miss in the event four fresh cogs come out. We whooshed through this and on to victory, smooth as silk. It was a fun run, a nice promo to more merits for most of us, and a lousy card that we'll want to dump before we get on a run that has a great card offered.
