Nice group. Thanks to Chet Land Pony for calling an sos restock lure. You were probably clearing a space, but it came in handy with the next rounds. lol I was shocked when Expresso was left luring in the first skelecog round. She ended up luring the whole way. Thank goodness her lure didn't kill anyone, even with a couple of misses. Thanks to Mini Max for tuning us all up before the skele round! As Lady Fancy Pedalwhip pointed out to me, I survived half of an uber run! lol Now to max Expresso's storm and I can join ya'll on the uber runs. You guys really rock!

While I was doing my one and only Marathon CFO run of the day, I got a TF chat message from Queen Biscuit about the upcoming VP run..which I knew nothing about of course, not having looked at the schedule that early in the day. She implied I needed to hurry. Like I had anything to do with the eventual CFO win and could hurry!! But, we finished the CFO in plenty of time and I stopped into the Brrrggghhh for a quick gag-up and diaper change and at the bar for a fresh Scotch on the rocks. And then I teleported into the wonderful pandemonium of the coalpit before a CCG run. The same pandemonium drives Queen Biscuit to hide just inside the iron doors in the silence and dignity of that magnificient VP edifice. So anyway Alvin does his usual rooting around for names we recognize, saying hi, and the other stuff that Queen Biscuit calls flirting. She and I have known each other for a very long time but somehow had never made a VP run together because of bad luck and differing philosophies on how quick to board the elevator. So today we sort of agreed to take the third elevator, and she ran for the sanctuary. Alvin continued to flirt of course. Then the time came and Queen let me know when the first elevator was loading...and when it left. So Alvin and I made a dash for the iron doors and blundered right into a cog. Blast! I hate it when that happens. I had no time to run and get back, and was unsure of being able to teleport to anyone. Queen was calling out the second elevator loading. My biggest fear was that someone would try to help and it would quickly turn into a cog cluster fight. But I was lucky, one good pie hit and a quick dance and I was inside. Queen was waiting and we strode majestically down the stairs and across the lobby. Boy I love being an HW! She and I happen to be the same exact suit level and it was easy to stay together. We strode up the stairs and placed ourselves in position to take the next elevator. No problem, we were finally together for a run. Now having to count ourselves as big suits, we made up five of eight of the spots and I recognized a familiar face I knew to be a real asset in Bam Boo Cat. Man you just gotta love the CCG! Near as I can tell, everyone on our load was a real asset. The cog round went as well as can be expected with the normal hits and misses and an opportunity or two to sneak in a stinky gag. The skelecog round got a bit more tacky with some odd misses that had Super Flapjack down to 71, Skinny down to 55, Alvin down to 58 but Trixie undamaged! I will blame it all on the cogs being real cranky on the first day of the new year. But, things still went ok and our side finished only slightly behind the other side. And of course we all ended up fully healthy. Alvin is always the last to get his pies, I guess because pigs can't jump very well, especially short pigs, and by the time we got in position to do anything the bag of bolts had already been stunned. Things seemed to be going ok and fairly normally. We tried everything we had been 'taught' and got nowhere near a hole shot. Finally, I ran Alvin around back to see if we could get anywhere there and it seemed that with a bit more practice we could be of help in rear stunning. But it was obvious we really weren't needed back there and I know you can never have enough pies in the air when the rust bucket is stunned so we ran back to the front and did what Alvin does best. Fill the sky with pies! In short order we had the hulk over the edge. The entire battle lasted only 21 minutes, with the cog round, the skelecog round, and the pie fest each being 5 minutes long. And they all lived happily everafter.

Sorry, I missed noting the skel round buddies.

I was happy to get a chance to rid an unwanted extra "cogs miss" SOS card from my collection to add the Drift for a restocking of lure. I have wanted this SOS card to help when I'm the only uber with lure, and my tiny bag just doesn't hold enough to carry the team through both the cogs and the skells on those days when I don't have a presentation available to me.

This victory was a result of everybody going for the same cog, a little luck with the lure, and great timing and communication. It was a delight to have all our tiny laffed, super ubers dance together with the team.

All of the toons going sad in this were on the other side from me so I don't know the cause of their melting...I just heard the whaa, whaa, whaa that makes the team frown. We hurried through the pies to race back to the playground to offer revenge. I doubt any of us were enthused to get Clerk Willy, a 50 damage trap gag...good for a level 5 cog...and I'd rather take out a level 5 with a hose or a cream pie. I do advise getting him out of your SOS collection in the sell-pit playground...cuz dumping him in a battle is very, very dangerous since he will get big cogs just stinkin mad at everybody. Don't wait until you see Flippy, Pete, or Bessie in the cage to clean your SOS page of junk.

Cat Bait Sr. was one of the ones to go sad listed above, but with such low laff and so few gags in his small bag it took no time to get a full bag and laff meter and head out for some REVENGE!
