UBER Run -- 2nd vator Tuesday, July 21, 2008 @ 10:00pm EST 0/4 danced for NO CLUE We played vator chicken and we all won in this respect. Nobody jumped! Woo Hoo! Mountain Cat 25 HW50 (TP'd to PG after cogs) Princess Ladybug Sparklemuffin 49 HW50 (TP'd to PG after cogs) *Skipper Jill 21 HW50 (Sad) *Rose Boo"stink"ay 15 TM3 (Sad) Don't let a maxxed suit fool ya! Hee hee. Jill & I "tied" this race back to the playground and it was a blast. (What happened was our cakes missed on the opening 12.) We happily sipped on our triple chocolate milkshakes (after all we all scream for icecream) and nibbled on fried cheesecake bites while admiring our pedicures and waiting for the others. We went back for revenge after some of the others finished from the first vator and happily danced for Franz. You guys are great!

One of our toons appeared to be being played by a child because they weren't really grasping directions. I love to play challenging CFO's and this was great! Cogs were difficult at times until the seemingly younger one ran out of gags *which I chose not to restock, lol!* Cranes were fun, with 4 craning and only one stomper we all had to at times leave our stations to help stomp. The cranes did not last all that long though and we were all very happy with our win. That you can intentionally put a trap on a trap to cancel it out (instead of unintentionally doing it like I usually do!) This technique was the perfect solution (at least to me) for a gag choice in the 9pm CST VP run. We had 4 un-lured cogs 1-12, 2-11's, and a 9. One toon selects dynamite for the right most cog (11), the second selects lure and the other toon selects rake on the (12). My toon is dropless and I don't have any pink slips so I can't easily take out the 12. I could have SOS'ed with a "Cogs Miss" card but I like using them with the ill-advised sound choices. I waited until the last second and slapped a quicksand over the rake (to the bewilderment of my fellow toons). The lure worked, the 11 was blown to pieces and we are right back into LLKR. We then happily tooned-up and finished the round using good teamwork. The cog and skele rounds were significantly slowed by Princess Lily Lemonpretzel's disco. When this happens could you please log back in to help facilitate removing your disco'ed toon. I know this isn't always possible but it helps eliminate confusion as well as the time outs. Other than that the skele round was uneventful. We had a REALLY jumpy VP in this run coupled with inconsistent back stunning resulted in slow pie fight. There were quite a few of those "fake" jumps (a result of stunning as the VP tries to jump) which made even some of the high laff toons looking for toon-ups. In the end though we danced! |

Now....where was I: Captain Pickles Weaselchomp reporting -- Jul. 22, 2008 2230 CST 0/7 Danced for Summon Unknown +Captain Pickles Weaselchomp 125 BW30 -- F4'd to Save Jury N +Lady Fluffy Googlemuffin 123 BW30 -- F4'd to Save Jury N +Sweet Chimney Sweep 130 BW50 -- F4'd to Save Jury N +Belle of the Ball 120 -- F4'd to Save Jury N Skinny Biscuit 131 -- F4'd to Save Jury N Sunburst 107 -- Sad in CJ Evidence Weird Hector Octoroni 120 -- Sad in CJ Evidence + Together in Cog Round. Wow. This was some CJ. We had 6 on the jury, 28 POE and 8 cogs. Lots of gavels. Sunburst went sad it seemed like right away in the evidence round. One second I saw her beginning for laff points (I was too late trying to help), and the next she was green in the face. Weird Hector went sad I THINK, and I don't know if Belle went sad or not. Skinny, LFG, Sweet & I tried to finish the CJ but we couldn't. After 40 minutes in the CJ chamber, and Skinny alt-ing, LFG, Sweet and I decided to alt out. A bit of advice: It is better when shooting cannons to wait about 10 seconds after you are allowed access to the cannons to actually shoot -- this helps get more toon on the jury because any toons you shoot up are more likely to STAY there and not get kicked off by a cog. Sweet Chimney Sweep is a non-CCG friend of mine...I invited her to the run for her to try it out. I was hoping she would have a good time and maybe consider joining. I was really disappointed that we lost the battle. I believe Sweet & LFG did a revenge run in River or some other district but I went on to the CCG CEO (in the five minutes I had to get there). Cogs went well, we had good teamwork and everyone did great. One note-- when someone puts up a wedding cake on a row of 12's, it's a good bet their wedding cake is organic. If there is a lure and then another throw (or 2) to get the bonus damage, the organic wedding cake will take out the row of 12's. Sounding really isn't the best option here, because the organic cake needs both the lure AND the bonus throw damage. When you sound them, the lure bonus is lost, and you're left with a bunch of angry 12's. Then we moved to the evidence round. We had the bonus cog and almost all the gavels. We lost our BF very quickly, so we were down to 6. We had 3 stunning and 3 scaling, but we were not able to get many stun bonuses (I think we had 1 or 2) so laffs started going down pretty quickly. I was trying my best on the stun line, but I'm really not that good at stunning more than 3, so it wan't going so well when I was trying to stun 4. Someone suggested we go stunless, so I moved to the pan, but there were only 3 of us panning by this point-- we looked around the room and the others were gone. The three of us left agreed it was hopeless, so Captain Pickles left. I wasn't sure Sweet Chimney Sweep knew we were bailing, and I was not going to leave her alone, so she and I panned for another few minutes before I was able to confirm she was going to alt too. We both left, and that was that. I just want to say a HUGE thank you to Sweet Chimney Sweep. She is not an "official" CCG member, but decided to come to a run to try CCG. I have done many DA's with her and know she is a very good player so I was happy to see her on a run. I just want to point out that even though she is not (yet?) a CCG member, she was the VERY LAST TOON in that CJ!! Talk about CCG spirit! So thak you very much, Sweet Chimney Sweep-- please come back and play again, I promise next run will be better! edit: Captain Pickles, you and I were reporting this at the same time, LOL!! I'm not sure about Sweet, but I did a private revenge run about an hour later-- and won.
