) but she is still unsure of her gag choices, so I was standing by to help. I can't remember who it was who threw the unite for her when the lure missed and all 3 level 12's hit (Hawg Wild or Red Swine)-- but a huge THANK YOU-- you got to Miss Bubbles in the nick of time!!! I have a bunch of unites on LFG-- but what a helpless feeling sitting there watching Miss Bubbles get pounded and not being able to do anything! But thanks to you awesome toons and the CCG, not only did Miss Bubbles have a great run, but she also got her suit promo! Thanks SO MUCH guys-- you all ROCK!!!

Alvin blushes!
Quote:
Miss Flip...you flatter us..and we love it of course! (she gave us a compliment in her 9:45 post) And you did the tough part of this report. Forgive me for taking liberties and adding my comments. scottsman and I had set up a meet and greet with ubers who wanted merit and gag help before this run and came from there having learned a lot about what not to do. We had a couple of ubers "attached" and it was our intention to help them through a VP although that was not an advertised part of the meet and greet. We were amazed at the size of the crowd inside the iron doors. Knowing full well that you just can't keep track of the little guys in that kind of crowd, we held back and held back. We had Icuda Binadog, Squeaky Clean, and, I think, Baby Cat A Tonic in tow. We finally made our move about 10 minutes after the scheduled run start. We stepped onto the loading platform with our crew crowded around and headed for what turned out to be the next to last elevator. Alvin did not make it aboard again! I have no idea why he has such difficulty. (maybe pigs stink or something) We mentally waved good bye to scottsman and the two smaller ubers (they won by the way, but with some extra effort and really good team work). So when the doors opened again, Alvin boarded along with five others. Oh no..Alvin was twitching to cut and run...only two big suits and he was one of them. The only comfort was that Miss Flip Flipperfoot was standing next to him exeuding confidence! Then big suit Mister Snappy stepped aboard and Alvin's worries dropped below his "pucker up" threshold. Thank you Mister Snappy. There might have been another smaller suit last minute boarder, not sure, if so thank you also. I am so glad you got Colonel Flapjack's stats Miss Flip, in every screen shot I have of him he is happily barking away No idea how a road kill dog could be so happy (he was suffering from a thin award). For the cog round, Sir Kippy and I were sided with the uber Iznaut Myduck, and we got through a couple of close calls that left him hanging on by a few points and actually finished before the other side. For the skelecog round, the duck was again on the short side but had the road kill dog and Mr Snappy to help him weather that storm. On our side, I waited until the first full row came out and used my presentation. I breathed a sigh of relief once we had all the skelecogs tied down and could wipe out the new guys at our leisure. But then, half way through, two-cog attacks were initaited. That was scary and disappointing for several reasons. First it meant someone had less respect for my hard won presentation than I did. Second it forced me to use my blue magnet rather than what I think is a stronger lure, the top$. And of course it left us more vulnerable to lure and gag misses. By the end, in spite of pleas for more sensible play, only one presentation lured skelecog remained. That was annoying. But we made it thanks to otherwise good play and a bit of luck and even had time for a stinky gag here and there. And then came what seems to have become the easy part. The pie fight!! I locked my radar on the little duck but need not have. He never needed me and was in the thick of the battle. I constantly maneuvered Alvin, torn between trying to improve our line drive skills (which weren't needed) and driving the rust bucket backwards, which was needed. In short order it was over and we danced. The entire battle lasted 24 minutes with each cog round taking 7 and the pie battle taking only 5.

Have been trying to figure out how to report this run. First off a big thanks to Familiar for coming out to the pan to help me! I need help with the pan! LOL May have been lag on a toons part, or an attraction to gavels, but please note gavels will take 20 laff off your laff meter. Find a *safe* route to run - and avoid the gavel heads. Toon up parties with a short load aren't the best (and we were getting stun bonuses also) - I had toons on my screen so I could watch their laff - if you need a toon up, all you had to say was "I need a toon up" and I would have gladly hit a max toon up unite had anyone's laff been seriously low (no one was in any jeopardy of going sad). This run took 30 minutes (at least) with repeated "You need to hit the scale"s being said. ______ Dirtnwater Reports that on: Jan. 7, 2008 1400 CST 8/8 Danced for TOW Beans - 200 +Cat A Tonic 127 RB50 Prof Jacques 92 BC +Monty 110 BC Curious George 104 LS Sir Bumblenoodle 121 RB50 Master Jeepergoober 113 RB20 +Silly Furball Fuzzymuffin 131 RB50 +Princess Penny Pepperpop 106 PP + Together in Cog Round Some difficulties with teamwork on the other side - I could hear Sir Bumblenoodle trying to give help to some toons (I think gag training was being attempted). Had some gag training on our side - boss battles are not the place to train your gags. Please train them in the appropriate places such as buildings and with your friends. But all in all, we all made it through the cogs and we all made it through the cranes! And we got jellybeans at the end! :::Silly Furball dances:::: |

Normally in a CCG VP run we lure the cog coming in on the left and everyone attacks the one on the right. We call this LLKR and we do it because it is the safest way to get the smaller laffpoint toons through. We, also, don't go for a second cog because this risks having two big cogs coming out and having to endure hits by two, if the lure misses. This strategy is very important when we have smaller toons present. ******************************* Little One Reports that on: Jan. 7, 2008 1945 CST 8/8 Danced for TOW Beans - 350 +Fuball Doggenwhip 97 SC Jenny 104 SC Chilly RB50 Pickles Fumbleswirl LS +Daphne Bearhug 103 MB Flipflop Gal RB50 +White Nights 121 RB40 +Little One 114 RB20 + Together in Cog Round This would have been a great run but for the SF chat. In the CCG Guidelines it states that we don't SF chat during cogs because it blocks gags. Please see the pictures below to see why we follow this. If you are sided with a friend during a CCG battle and want to say something, just put a "." (period) before the words and say what you would like in a thought bubble. This doesn't block anyone's gag choices and is totally fine. ![]() I recommend that anyone who hasn't read our guidelines, does so. You can find them Here.
