This run was fairly fast and easy. A few missed lures but nothing serious. In the skellie round Cool J.C. treated us to a Professor Pete. The pie round was also very quick.

ALOT of sf chatter. I whispered to each person involved in the chatter to "Use the speedchat", the non-CCG member said "OK" and "Sorry". The chatter continued into skellies and pies. It's distracting, to say the very least.

Other than that, we had a speedy VP and some pretty good teamwork. I was glad to have finally been able to vp with Static - awesome player!

(Unable to post suit sizes, I thought I f9'd in the elevator but I guess not"

Thank you so much for the compliment. As for me being an awesome player....I only do what I have been taught by attending the CCG runs.

Sorry for the long story here but its something I must say....

I used to be one of those toons that felt that I had to take it all upon myself to assure that a victory was the only possible outcome. Picking the largest cog, trying to inflict the most damage possible, and not taking into consideration that there were 3 others beside me that were equally capable of making sure that we all made it to the dance. I was not a team player. I guess I always tried to be the hero. This behavior worked more times than not in VP but the CFO is another story. A massive loosing streak hung above my head against the CFO that made me avoid that side of Donald's Dreamland.

This is when a good friend told me about the CCG. I followed her to a run after she gave me the crash course of the rules that I must follow. The first rule was easy. Get on the elevator and stay on. Rule two I had issues with. Attack the cog on the far right. That didn't go along with my playing style but after seeing the CCG in action I quickly dropped the all or nothing attitude.

This was the first time I have gotten though the CFO cog battle with full laff and some of my level 6 gags still in my bag. Nothing could stop me now. I was gonna get the victory! I couldn't have been any more wrong.

Again....Sorry for the long story but there is more.....

When we first started toontown we lived in an area where cable connections was just there. Never questioned it and never thought of your life without it. This past May we finally found a home we liked and moved out into the country. I about cried when they told us cable was not offered out here. A few phone calls later we were hit with the fact that DSL wasn't either.
If any of you have ever had to deal with a satellite connection you know how terrible the lag is. To make it worse we have 2 accounts running on this connection. Goon stomping is a challenge. The goons are not really where you see them since you are running between 1 and 2 seconds behind everyone else in the game. Full laff was quickly cut by two thirds as I jumped all around the goons taking the damage and then turning around just to see it fall like it was in slow motion. This is when I first met pixanator. I was somewhere near the crane she was operating when I saw "Toons of the world toon-up". I turned around just in time to see her jump back on the crane to help with the finishing blows that sent the CFO running for cover.

As we were dancing I thought about what had happened. Here was this toon that delayed a victory just to save me? I didn't understand why. And then to top it off I see "You Rock" as it was my time for the spotlight. I was so confused that I couldn't say anything. The very next day I tried to board the elevator with this same toon that saved me. I didn't make it due to lag issues. I was placed in the final spot on the next elevator by a toon backing slowly down the steps saying "You First". Good ol Murky Paddlefink, This was something else that sent me away thinking about the CCG and what they were.

Since then I have met ALOT of wonderful players from the CCG. I can't remember each and every one of you but I do try to show you my respect with a bow before each run I attend with you.

You guys are the reason I'm a team player now. Its not me thats an awesome player. Its the CCG that shows people how to become a better player. I for one owe alot of you thanks for this. This is why I continue to come to the CCG runs. To "teach" what I have been taught by so many great players before me.

Wow!! Static, excellent post! That one really touched me. Thanks for pointing it out ratso.

Funny that you mentioned everyone saying "You rock" and "you're awesome" at the end of each battle. Because before I met CCG (which was pretty early in my toons life), everyone usually remained quiet as we waited for each toon stats to come up. It's only since doing CCG runs, everyone has taken on this habit of praising everybody for their contribution to wining the battle. Which I though was really cool!

It has now become a standard for everyone to do that. Even when you didn't play so well. lol

Really glad to have read your story. Very encouraging.

CCG: Golden moments

At the suggestion of one of the ambassadors, I cross posted the first post from the "CCG: Saturday Victory Reports" thread. With all the complaints we hear, sometimes it's nice to read stories like this one.

Static that is one amazing post. I can't help to think we all must have some amazing moments in CCG to share just like that. I have one I carry with me (actually many more then one but this is earliest CCG memory) I was on Some Duck 34 lps and only a telemarketer at the time. I had just lost a CCG VP and was sad in the playground. When Good Ol' Murky Paddlefink, Miss Clover Doggendoodle, Super Wacko Wackywhip and a few others asked me if I wanted to play again. I was shocked and amazed at that. My first revenge run, couldn't believe these toons not on my friendslist at the time cared so much and gathered together for another VP for me. Was so sweet, I grabbed a screenshot of it and decided I too wanted to bring a smile to someone elses face that wasn't even on my list.

Thanks DM for putting Static's post in a new thread. What a wonderful way to put into words what CCG represents. Thank you!!

In my years of toontown and doing VP and now CFO and CJ, I have only done 2 random runs. (That's why it's going to take me YEARS to max my suits...lol) Even now that my sellbot suit is a Mr. Hollywood and I'm sure I wouldn't have any trouble finding toons to board with me on randoms, I don't go.

A couple of reason is the fun in the pits before the runs and the no-shuffling rule (even if it still happens). However, the main reason is because I owe CCG so much. I want to return the same positive support that was given to me as I was starting out in the VP to new members of CCG or even any of the non-members that join the CCG runs. Even now, my play in CFO and CJ and even the VP at times, is less the stellar, but I still feel good no matter what the outcome because other CCG members make sure you feel like a part of the team.

Thank you again Darrell and DM for reminding us how great the CCG really is!!

Great posts Static and Granny Pickles!

Here's mine short and sweet...

A year ago in August my family of 5 relocated out of state and away from the remains of our family. Soon we unpacked, I couldn't wait to check in my little TT world. My primary toon from Winter 2004, is Scout Mama. I had maxxed Houlihan, the first years black cat, and been fishing to 68 species. This was dreadfully depressing to my once more playful kitty. I lost my sense of purpose in game. Then my best friend in all of TT, Storm_Center, suggests we create new black cats OCT 31 Audacious and Bodacious and make them into UBERS to keep things interesting. All I can think of is dying all the time, but I agree to give it a go. We decide that we should join the CCG and help out with our big toons for awhile before the birth of these UBERS. Not once did I ever think it had anything to do with COOLNESS, giggle. Well, it didn't take me long to realize, THIS IS WHERE I BELONG. I decided that my toon of choice to promote as I helped would be Amazing Grace, an ENTRY LEVEL TWO FACE. (I still felt the need to promote as I entered the elevators.) Today she will make her HW49 run with the CCG...From the waves, smiles, bows, to the factory runs with familar faces, I want to thank each of you for the kindness, friendship and other FUN stuff. Then this summer to be offered the opportunity of ambassador within CCG, I am truly honored...INSERT BANANA PEEL
You guys are great!

wow,
my experience with the ccg has been great, when i first got my cashbot suit, i went in with random groups, cuz i was so excited, i lost about a kabillion times, and then my mom said something about the ccg doing cfo runs, i tryied it and won the first time.
when i first heard of the guild was from my mom, we were having a quick dinner of like pizza or something and my mom was on teh computer, she said she was doing the vp with the guild. I asked what a guild was and she said she was going with the ccg, i still had no clue what she was talking about, i watched her win!, wich was amazing cuz winning was rare for us then. even though it took me like a week to figure out exacally what it was called, and we joined like 6 monthes later. i have done all my runs with the ccg ever scince and i cant remeber the last time i lost, just last week i tryied a cj with a random group and had to alt f4 cuz 3 toon disconnected, and 1 nearly got sad, so she left and then the rest of us gave up, i got down to 12 laff points out of 107 and now i will NEVER go in with a random group again. The ccg is just awesome

Ah, golden CCG moments... I have many of those!

Marsh's first VP victory was with the CCG, when ubers were rarer to see. I don't remember it too clearly, but I do have a screenshot of it. I'm sure I was a nervous wreck, and I'm sure I didn't play too well, but I made it!

Marsh's Holly 8 run was really smooth, and I probably have screenshots of that somewhere, too. No clue where.

Those were both great times, but I have a few others that stick out in my mind even more.

Every victory that I've ever had with Silly Salty Monkenklunk II has been awesome. Always love to see Midge get through, Ryan, but it feels even better to be a part of the win.

I remember, during one of my first uber runs with the CCG, Little Skipper, who was 80 some laff at the time, hopped on with us, most likely not knowing it was an uber run. He used a unite to save me during the cog round, and used a gag up all at the end, for all of us ubers.

I also had the pleasure of being on Little Skipper's Holly 50 run, which he did with the CCG. I was so surprised and flattered when he whispered to little Marsh, "Shall we go?" We are not friends, Little Skipper, but if you ever get the chance to read this -- You are truly awesome. Every single one of my experiences with you has been absolutely great. You're my Toontown hero! Hehe.

Just some of my awesome CCG moments. ^_^

Sincerely,

PTS

My golden CCG moment was also with Little Skipper. Actually, to date I have had more golden moments with him than anyone else. He is truly one of a kind. My first memory of a special win with him was on January 30th of this year and it was before he and I were friends. I had just gone sad on Missy (my nickname for Miss T. Fied) in another run with the first row of cogs so I quickly grabbed some laff and gags and ran over to sell hq to see if anyone was left. I was delighted to see these 4 toons (Little Skipper, Sadie Featherquack, Royalty, and a 4th toon that must have decided it was just too risky because she didn't board) standing in the lobby. We waited a couple of minutes, but nobody else showed up, so I whispered to the "biggest" toon there (Little Skipper), "Which way?" to which he responded, "You first." This gave me the courage to hop in the elevator... I guess I figured if this huge 120 laff (which was the highest laff at the time) toon was willing to jump in a short elevator with me, what was there to lose? I called a Professor Pete at the end of cog round and a Barnacle Bessie in skel, but other than that no other SOS cards or Unites were used. All 4 of us danced, but I can tell you that Missy danced a little bit lighter than she ever had. Here is my victory report with screenies for that run, as well as Royalty's victory report. That day gave me a rush that has never been equated in TT for me. I also changed my way of thinking that day... previously, I had been nervous to board a short elevator with an uber present, and now I will let the uber decide.

I would have to say that this was one of my "Golden Moments in the CCG" as well. Just the rush of dancing after a 4 toon vp is indescribable (especially with an uber on board!). Was that really way back in January?? Wow... time flies when you hang out with cool people like the CCG!!

WOW! I remember that run lol That was sooooo long ago. I can't believe you even have a pic of it lol I remember being nervous as heck! Such a small toon! But, although I'm still learning, its so much fun playing with ubers. But you made it so easy, you rocked girl! Then and now! Wacko was my first toon and at the time, my only maxed toon. After saying he was going to be the only one I had, (too much work lol), Twiddleburger had just started moving up thru the ranks with the ccg. And now that Twiddle has maxed, I again said no more maxing toons. Wellllll, now the ccg has lured my poor Marooned Mouse into its midst and its happening all over again. lol I've had alot of great times playing with you guys and have met so many great players, some on my lists some not but all concidered friends. See you all at the runs!
Now back to my endless mints, factories and now Da's uggghhhh, not again!

A while ago, I had sucessfully completed my first CJ with the CCGers =D.

It was so exciting. In the cog rounds, everything went off without a hitch. Then in the shooting round, we do muy caliente! We ended up getting 11/12 seats, Huzzah! In the final evidence round, we did even better. I was so glad these people knew how to stun cogs, with me tooning everyone, and throwing into our side. Eventually, we finally got to hear the words, Mistrial!. I pretty much flipped out of my chair =D. Anyways, I got a Yesmen summon, and I was so thrilled.
