I saw this was asked of me in another thread....

So, how bout we do one April 28th??? Sound good? You wanna be in charge??

I propose that we keep the "CFO marathon" and the "Can you pass the bar exam?" going on a semi-regular occurrence. So lets say....

The 2nd Sunday of every month lets have our

CFO Marathon

TIME: 830 am pacific 9:30 am mountain 10:30 am central 11:30 am eastern

WHERE: Kookywood Back-up: boingy bay Back-up to the Back-up: Crazy River

On the 4TH sunday of every month lets ask ourselves....

Can you pass the bar exam?

TIME: 9:30 A.M. PST, 10:30 A.M. MTN, 11:30 A.M. CENTRAL, 12:30 P.M. EST

WHERE: Giggly Bay Back-up: giggly point Back-up to the Back-up: Crazy River

Due to Saturdays being family day here away from the computer this is not feasible for my so this is what I came up with in response to the suggestion. I say lets start this with the new month of may coming in, since this is still up in the air.

Any comments or suggestions? Do we say YAY or NAY?

If we all agree to this can we have this added to our Calender?

***NOTE***I tried to add a poll to this but my computer lagged and after 5 minutes I lost the option of adding a poll.

I have no problem with it being monthly but I would suggest alternating Saturdays and Sundays. Sundays are family days for a lot of people too. I know we cant please everyone but I've already seen a few people post that they can't make Sundays at all. Alternating would solve that to an extent.

I'm game! Bring the doodle... Bob!

I think having once a month marathons for each boss is a great idea. I know that I will come to as many as possible.
But, I also like the idea of alternating Saturdays with Sundays. That way it gives the poeple who cant make it on Sundays to come to the next months, since it will be a Saturday. My suggestion would be: (and this is just an example)

May 12 (2nd. Saturday) - CFO marathon
May 27 (4th. Sunday) - CJ marathon

June 10 (2nd. Sunday) - CFO marathon
June 23 (4th. Saturday) - CJ marathon

And with the SOS Saturdays, that other people are planning, you can just pick what you wanna do, but this gives the Saturday"ers" a chance to join in and a chance for the Sunday"ers" a chance to join in.

I agree with LadyZ, how about we alternate Saturdays and Sundays? The base idea is great, just need to tweak the timing. But great Idea! I will come to as many of these as possible!

That would be a great idea, possible rotating days.
For myself, I have Sundays free, but would try to make it when I can.

Oh what a great idea. I also agree with the switching days to try to accommodate everyone. Also, if anyone is in the mood for additional marathons during the month, either because they missed one or just want to do it again, they can just set up another date in the month. Or how about a marathon weekend.......oooooowwww.

A marathon weekend would be AWESOME!!
Those that can play Saturday get to as well as those on Sundays... and me having no life, I get to have both! Woo Hoo!!

Although, just one CFO or CJ a month isn't NEARLY enough...

Now I'm kidna curious with this all, why should there be a time limit on our marathons? why not when there are enough people to go, go?
Who cares if it is 3 in the morning?
If we do a "weekend" marathon shouldn't that be how it is done? That would include our friends from the Isle across the pond to play with us too.

My Dear Clarence,
I also have no life, as you well know. For us, every weekend is a marathon weekend, the only difference here would be by being organized, others could play nonstop the way we do! Time limit? Has there ever been a time limit? I've never noticed, and 3am is fine with me. Unless of course I'm in a Bullion...zzz...zzz...zzz

There is no time limit, just a start time and they continue as long as people keep showing up. And these start times are so that some may get things in order prior to beginning the marathons.

So if thats the case and we would like a weekend marathon how bout this.....

On the 2nd weekend of the new month A cfo marathon that begins Saturday and continue throughout the evening into Sunday and on the 4th weekend a Cj marathon that starts on Saturday and continue throughout the evening into Sunday till we................................... oops upside our heads.

OR

the 2nd weekend of the new month Saturday have a cfo marathon and on Sunday a cj marathon. then on the 4th weekend alternate it...on Saturday have a cj marathon and on Sunday a cfo marathon

I saw someone propose a vp marathon or an SOS marathon every 1st and 3rd weekend of the month heres a link - .......** SOS Saturday **.

And so not to interfere or take away from this I proposed these on the weekends in between. If sos shopping isn't what you are looking for and you want just a straight through in and out marathon, may I suggest that you yourself can start a vp marathon on the 1st and 3rd SUNDAY of the month so that it doesn't interfere with the sos Saturday run. I personally dont care much for the vp but would come to a run or 2 if there was a marathon run

I like either plan, as long as we have a post to announce it. Some of you know all about me and calendars...

Thanks for taking the time to deal with this by the way...I have very much enjoyed the ones I've been to so far!

Smashing idea! (no pun intended, okay so there was, who cares?)
It seemed to me that in past marathons people have posted "this is when we will end" so it is good to know that is NOT the case

I Love the Idea of VP, but the ONLY reason I go on "current" toons is for the LP boost. I hate "shopping" and when CBF is done with VP he may never return to do it again. His calling in life is to fight the CFO and CJ (for now, who knows about the Boss-Bossdude)
