Sparkly Siggie Tutorial :)

This is my tutorial on how to make a sparkly siggie, I got the brushes from a website but some other fancy brushes would probaly work as well.
**********

This is a tutorial made on Photoshop CS2, But im guessing that it would work on most editing programme's.

1. Open a new image in Photoshop, 375px by 125 px.

2. Make the background one colour, I chose Pink .

3. Bring up the picture you want on it.

4. Place it near the left, leaving about 2/3 at the right of it.

5. Use a fancy brush to colour a bit of the background, but making sure you can still see some of the Pink background.

6. Duplicate the picture layer 5 times, so there is 6 picture layers all together.

7. Change the first picture layer to Vivid Light.

8. Change the second picture layer to Screen.

9. Change the third picture layer to Overlay

10. Change the fourth picture layer to Colour Burn.

11. Change the fifth layer to Darken

12. On every picture layer, exept the top one, smuge it out just a bit further than the normal picture.

13. Put the name of the Toon/Picture on the space on the right of the picture.

14. Right click on the text layer and click blending options.

15. Check the 'Bevel and Emboss' box and 'Stroke' box down the right side.

16. Change the thickness of the Stroke to 1px and the colour to black.

17. Click Ok and Ok then....

Tah Dah, there it is!

I looked through it and it looks pretty good.
It looks like you tried to make it as simple as possible, which is good.
Good job!

EDIT: Except you may want to say how to bring up the image. I don't know if everyone will know how to do that.

How To Open A Screenshot :)

For those of you who don't know how to open an image, here you go!
**********

I use Vista, therefore you computer set out might be different.

1. Click Start, then my computer.

2. On My Computer Click on your C: Drive.

3. Click on Program Files.

4. Find the Disney folder.

5. Open the Disney Online Folder. (For most people this should be the only folder there)

6. Open the ToontownOnline_UK Folder, it might be different if you don't play UK. (Yet again, for most people this will be the only folder there.)

7. Scroll down, and there you can find your screenshots from Toontown. (I am going to use the one the arrow is pointing at.

8. Right click, go down to Open with, then click Adobe Photoshop. If it is not on that list go to Chose Default Programe and there you can find Photoshop to open it with.

Tah Dah!

Yes, the text style and the layer styles are the only parts I am unsure of. The rest you can easily do on GIMP as you could do on Photoshop.

How to Cut out an image :)

If you find it hard to cut out an image on photoshop, here's your guide.
**********

1. Open the image you want to work with.

2. Right click on the Lasoo Tool, and select Magnetic Lasoo Tool.

3. Go around your Toon/Picture with the Magnetic Lasoo Tool, try to make sure it is near the Toon outline.

4. Make sure it goes around the whole of the Toon, and when you get to the end Double click.

5. Then CTRL+X to cut the image.

6. Open the background you want to put the picture on, then CTRL+V

7. Use the Magic Wand Tool to get rid of any thing that shouldnt be there.

8. Press CRTL+D to deselect the selectioned part of the image.

9. Use the rubber to get rid of any exess colour on the outline.

Tah Dah!

**********

Its not much of a clean cut, but if you take time to do it, it will be more clean.
More tutorial's coming soon!
