Mint Maps

I am in the process of mapping the floors of each mint. Just as you enter the mint, you are told which floor you are on and while each floor is unique, you will encounter the rooms in the same order each time you are in that mint and on that floor. The gags available might change, but the order of the rooms and the number of cogs will be the same.

This map should be helpful for gag usage as well as for those who are earning bucks. It will let you know if your floor will have enough cogs to allow you to earn what you need. If not, you can bail and try another elevator.

Rather than use the official Disney name for the room, I’ve “described” it. The "big gear" room is the one with the big gear in the middle and all the hard jumps. The "stacked-gear jump" is the room where the gears turn in opposite directions and you have to jump to the top and then jump to the ledge and next hallway. I hope the rest are self-explanatory.

This map is incomplete: I haven’t always noted the cog levels and there may be other errors. I will enter missing data and correct errors as I continue to build my toons and receive input from other players but hopefully it will help some players now.

There are always gags to be found in the Big Stomper Room and the Big Gear Room. The vaults sometimes contain gags. An asterisk * means I noted there were gags. Lack of the asterisk may or may not mean gags…it might mean I just missed noting them.

Goons are found in two rooms, Gear Room (G-room) has one toonup barrel at the end. Pipe Room (P-room) has 2 toonup barrels.

There are two vaults. The Lobby vault has 3 sets of cogs 10,10,10,10; 10,10,10,11; 10,10,11,11 and no restock gags. The Boiler Room vault has 4 sets of cogs 10,10,10,10; 10,10,11,11; 10,10,11,11; 11,11,11,11 skgs and restock gags.

The "Mint-Pipe room" always has 16 cogs (half of which can be by-passed). There are 2 sets of 10 10 11 11, one on each end and 2 sets of 10 10 10 11, one on each side.

I reformated the information in the maps so the post would be more readable and printable. I would appreciate any help in completing the map and welcome any suggestions about how to make it easier to understand.

I've tried to enter the level of the cog when I think to note them. I think the mint pipe room cogs remain the same...and will post those levels when I'm positive what they are.

Restock gags are not always the same. You can really "stretch" your sound gags buy using only 1 fog on all cog groups that contain a lvl 10. However, the norm is to use two fogs and two trunks anytime the group is mixed 10's and 11's.

Hope this is helpful to a lot of you.

Too bad I didn't see your thread yesterday evening before I went on--our party of four did Floor 13 of the Coin Mint TWICE IN A ROW last night, so I could have written it all down for you if I'd only known. Oh well.....Maybe next time.

I've been writing down the bucks you get on each floor, and the gags that are there. Are you sure the restocks change? I was hoping there was a way to take better advantage of them. I'll post or pm you the total for the bucks if you want to add them to the info. Let me know if you want it.

Yes, I would love to add the bucks for the floors I don't have. PM or post, whichever you prefer.

Yes, the gags change. I noted the gags available but when I did the room the next time, often the gags were different. Sometimes the gags don't make any sense...you might get 4 barrels of cakes and nothing else. Often I've seen two barrels of fog horns or TNT, etc. Sometimes we go back for gags...sometimes it's more trouble than it's worth.

My hope is that by knowing what's up ahead, you might be able to take better advantage of the restocks available. I've seen far too many people hit the restock barrels when (unless they came in without gags) there is no way they have room for the gags. For instance, if you are in a vault with gags and they are storms, save your horns, kill with storms and restock before moving on. It'a a little difficult to communicate this strategy to toons who are new to the mints. "Lets use squirt" just goes right by them until the end when you say "I need more gags" and jump down to the barrel. When they hear the "ching" sound, they usually get curious enough to check it out.

There's 2 different vaults, one with 3 sets, one with 4 sets. The vault with 4 sets has restock, the other doesn't. The cog levels are always the same in those rooms as well, so it appears the set you're missing is in the first vault. The second set of cogs should be 10,10,10,11. (You probably knew most of that already, it's more for those who didn't. )
