Question about the Mint

I am back after over a year off the game. When I left, CBHQ had just opened.

I tried the Mint once. It was a disaster because there was a room where you had to jump on gears (I think, I'm trying to jog my memory) and they were moving and I kept falling in lava and finally went sad. I was sick for the other three toons with me, I felt so bad!

I don't understand the different types of mints. I know there are the small ones, and then you can fight the CFO.

Is there a mint door I can go in that doesn't have those gears you have to jump on? I don't want to put three other toons in jeopardy bc I can't do that part. :P I understand there are different ways in (I think.)

It just depends on what floor you land on. But, they're really not that hard to do.

If you want, i'd be willing to take you onto a certain floor (it's random what floor we get...but eventually we'll land on the right one) and help you with whichever obstacles you need help with. Just let me know

Oh so you might land on a floor that doesn't have that? I would love it if you could take me in there! Man, I am not good at jumping on stuff. I used to have that problem when we first got SBHQ and didn't know our way around and there were some rooms like that but I think it was slime you fell in, it was green instead of red. I remember I couldn't jump over that stuff and everyone would get so mad!

Yeah, I think there's some floors that don't have the lava in it. Is that the only one you need help with?

I'm not sure yet, because that's the only one I went on. But from past experience, jumping over lava is my biggest prob.

Well from what I recall there is a floor with lava and these little platforms that you have to jump to get to the other side. But if you miss and fall in the lava I believe you an still get to the other side you just lose laff. Then there is another room that has big gears in it that you have to jump to the top to get to the other side. So idk which room you are referring to.. or maybe I'm forgetting a room that has both gears and lava.

I had trouble with the gears when I first went in too. It was horrible. And the other toons would get all annoyed that I was taking so long. It just takes some practice. Maybe you should try going in at frist with friends who you know won't be impatient with you. Now, what i do with the gears is just walk up to them and hold down the up arrow and continually jump and I actually make it to the top pretty quickly. It's best not to try to stand still and see where you are in relation to the spinning gears. Just jump. hehe Good Luck.

I think the thread starter is talking about the Paint Mixer, where there are 3 moving platforms to negotiate to get from one side to the other.

The Lava in mints is easy, I don't even walk on platforms, i just wade through lava on left hand edge of platforms, watching other toons trying to miss hitting lava usually unsuccesfully

If you wade straight through lava without stopping (jumping at end of course ), u will lose one -8 laff hit, which is then restocked with barrel at end of lava, only time i try doing properly is if I need to make up laffs.

On negotiating Paint Mixer, it is a hand eye cordination thing and lag doesn't help things if you get it in mints. As post above said, try jumping as platform is moving towards you, but not too early, hopefully the forward moementum of incoming platform will have you safely landing on the next platform, also you may be jumping from middle of platform you really need to a little closer to edge, in this case you may have try get close and take risk of falling a couple of times.

Above all don't panic, you don't have to be necessarily moving to perform jump it does make it easier have the momentum to jump, but until you get timing right move to edge close enough but without falling off, then jump and and press forwards at same holding jump + forward buttons until just about land on next platform, letting go early may leave your jump short, also watching the moving sequence of platforms a couple of times before attempting to jump to get the idea of where platform changes direction is good idea too.

I know it's difficult when toons are rushing ahead not to panic, but if you take a little more time most toons while wait paitiently and check back to see how your doing before they force forwards, just tell them to wait for you a little longer, using wait speedchat phases, concentrate on what your doing even if they trigger next set of cogs, try to get cross in your own time and let them worry about defeating the cogs

Ideally taking a few friends along is best idea, where you would hope they will understand you are training before hand, especially if they are True Friends and can chat freely.

If you really can't get it, you could also try glitching the wall, if you've glitched wall in sell factory or elsewhere you may be able to do it here. You may need to jump as well while doing glitch.

If you need details of this glitch and/or the one that allows you to pass the big gear room another complicated jumping sequence, please let me know and i'll PM you full details.

On finding out which mints contain Paint Mixer or not, use this guide Mint Maps, the words for room you looking for are paint or paint/ink.

This will tell you mint lvls that have not got Paint Mixer, however to find out which mint lvl you are doing at time you need to be in the mint already.

If you want to practice, go to the coin mint alone. The floors you want are 6, 7, 11,14. The paint/ink are the first task. If you don't land on the floors listed, just go back to the playground. It will put you back in Cash HQ.
