Here's the story from both sides.
Your view: You accidentally backed up into the cogs. The other toons sit there and laugh at you as you go green. The other toons' view: The other toon's think that you are a griefer trying to rid them of their cogbucks. They think when you say "Sorry!" and things like that, that you're just playing the nice act. They sit there so they won't have to do another bullion. No matter how hard you try, some toons won't help you fight the final set of cogs if there's not an invasion. Most toons are in a rush, it seems. |

Sorry to hear that happened to you. I did a couple of runs with you when I was finishing up a task I had. You are a good player and I know you wouldnt have done that on purpose. Unfortunately some toons are that way.

Sorry, but from someone who has had her fair share of annoying experiences:
When someone says they need more Cogbucks and you engage the supervisor, that's rude. It's not that hard: just stand outside the room or far away from him. When I'm trying to get a ridiculous amount of whatever (let me tell you, 14,400 jury notices takes FOREVER) and someone doesn't wait for an invasion after being asked, I have little sympathy for them if they go sad or their gags miss. In the years playing, I've had WAY too many toons go, Oops! Sorry! It's obviously NOT a mistake a lot of the time, especially when you see they either just needed a couple hundred cogbucks or were just there finishing a toontask. The fact that you used your wedding cake would only tell me that you were purposely griefing (if I hadn't read this). If it happens again (which, really, it shouldn't), the proper thing is to use lure or say Let's use lure, Sorry I can't, if you don't have lure. That being said, the toons were really ignorant for laughing when your wedding cake missed. I might have no sympathy, but I'm not a jerk. |

For future reference:
A peace offering could have been offered: Lure the cogs, call your doodle, continue calling your doodle to stall....that would show them you were NOT a griefer...and that you did it accidentally. You can stall this way until the next invasion.

I have had this happen. Quick open book toss invasion. Engage while shouting "Prepare to die cog scum!!!!!" Problem solved. Note this only works if you are not the one that tripped the cogs.

Absolutely the best way to handle engaged cogs while waiting for inv... I love training my doodle to wait but usually don't for fear of upsetting someone (unless I'm with friends). |

Lure is the best way to hold the cogs until the next invasion. Its horrible that that happened to you, but we have all been hit with griefers that seem to have put us all on edge.
I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and by using your wedding cake may have triggered them to think that you really were a griefer. I have jumped to close and engaged before, but I just lure and wait. I like playing with my doodle while waiting, good training and shows I need the buxs as well.
