Exclamation Please stop being rude to people who report glitches.

Recently, a trend of people being extremely rude to other people who report glitchs has started. Constantly, 'flame' wars will be started between you people about whether or not reporting the glitchs is right.

Keep the arguements civil please. Calling names, typing in caps and being rude, stalking the people around and making fun of them is not allowed on this site.

EDIT: Apparently some people still want to cause trouble. Here's a quick summary of two short paragraphs, with two new add-ons.

Do not flame people for reporting glitches. Do not flame people for posting glitches. Do not post that you report glitches, you are trolling.

Thanks,
CBD

Fun or not, sometimes bugs need to be reported.

any glitch is a bug in the game, it means a section of code is not working as it should,

Before street ponds got to open there were glitches allowing you to go underneath the ponds making them inaccessible.

There were glitches that allowed you to steal clothes from the shops, the problem was the next person that walked into that shop got crashed - their machine rebooted.
For those on dial-up that meant another call to their isp to connect back to the internet - local calls are not free everywhere, that meant it cost them money.

There were broken walls in the factory where a toon could walk through the wall, while that was fun for most of the holes, some locked you out of the rest of the factory - meant you had to bail and start the run again.

The fun ones are not a high priority, what Disney care about are the ones that can ruin the enjoyment of the game,
after all you have been able to get on the roof of your house for well over a year now.
Also some grey space areas remain accessible in the factory too.

Arguing with moderators is never a good idea,
they have the capability to ban people and cancel accounts,
just remember this site can get along just fine without you.

Yes, but where do we draw the line at what's fun vs. what's annoying/potentially harmful or disruptive to others' gameplay?

Just because a bug doesn't annoy YOU or that YOU find fun doesn't mean that it shouldn't be fixed.

There was a bug awhile back that was a ghost glitch. Several people thought that was loads of fun. Only thing is, it made the building look like it was vacant and when someone got into the building, it'd kick them back to the playground. People thought that was pretty fun. My point is, you never know what effect it has on other people. There's no way to communicate that effectively during the game "Hey! You're bugging me!" or "Hey! You caused me to get knocked offline!" or "Hey! That was MY building! You kicked me off!" You see?

Anyway, this thread is getting severly off-topic. CBD and I are merely suggesting, if you don't want to report bugs, that's fine. If you do, that's your right to do so also. But harrassing other members because they choose to do it or choose not to do it is something that has gotten out of hand. Do what you want...report or not. But when you start calling people names because they choose do something you don't agree with...THAT'S where we step in and that's all CBD and I are saying. I could care less as to which side of the fence you're on, so long as you keep it civil.

I left this thread open because I felt that there could be some interesting discussion. There was, but it unfortunately felt like I more or less needed to police a sticky. People come here for information, so I've left several posts highlighting this issue and closed the thread for now.
