Post Anti-Virus detected a virus on Toontown? READ HERE

Okay, So many said that their anti-virus protection picks up a virus.
Such as AVG, They had a database update last night.

If you get your anti-virus to pick up TT as a trojan horse, it is SAFE.

The reason they pick it up as a Trojan Horse is because TT needs internet connection to connect to the game servers. And in order for that to happen they had to implant a SAFE virus. Suppose to be a undetected virus so people won't find out.

So since some anti-virus programs were updated last night. Some people picked up TT as a virus. But it is completely safe.

Andy

Oh if your anti-virus picks it up and won't let TT run.
Go to your virus protection and some have a Allow/Disallow option, Mark TT.exe and Launcher.exe as Allow.

If you have AVG disable it for now and turn it back on when your not playing TT.

Why don't they post it on their home page?

I mean, it seems like a common problem that worries a bunch of us.
For one, I don't feel safe about disabling my virus-filter, without any notice from the distributor (here Disney).

Same here - don't really want to disable it. It ran last night and identified it as the trojan horse, and I guess it deleted or quarantined it, because this morning the comp says it can't find the TT Launcher application! :P

So here's my question - should I delete the launcher (if it's left anywhere in my comp) and redownload it, or just go off the TT start page instead? If the AVG is just going to keep finding it, it might be a pain. Guess I should look into my settings and see if I can tell it to ignore or allow that one...fun fun fun.

Suppose it's time I do find out how to get it allowed then. Just a quick question though, I never saw this odd until now that people are saying they can go both ways, but when you click on play on the toontown website, is it supposed to take you to the launching download page? It won't just play toontown for me, the luancher's the only way I can play. And i don't suppose anyone knows how you set it to allow on AVG?
