I highly doubt there is any type of computer damaging software in the Toontown Launcher. If there was, it would turn into a big lawsuit.
I'd imagine it's something that you have downloaded in the past couple of days, or if your virus Software does not accept anything with an "un-secure" internet connection like Toontown.

Computers can do things without your knowledge. Toontown might of had a bug that messed up something and put your anti-virus program up to tell you. Or it might be a virus on it's own at random. It might not have anything to do with Toontown unless it said specificly that the virus was Disney's Toontown Online Launcher.

Viruses can come from other places besides downloads. E-mails, sites, and some normal programs. I have Photoshop and it has this file in it to help it work, my anti-virus program says to block it but I know its just something wrong with the program, not Photoshop.

Alright, thanks for the responses. I'll consider that it might just be the insecure connection. I did a virus scan and it still tells me it's located at the launcher, so I've uninstalled and deleted that, but I can't re-ownload or run. =/
The threat still pops up and that's the only place I'm picking up anything. I'll take your word in that it most likely isn't toontown itself, but this is a bit worrisome. edit: And again, this is the first time anything like this has happened. I've had the luancher for at least 5 months and I've never had anything go so wrong as to alert my scanner. |

I think either your computer has a virus (not from TT), or you need to change some settings in your anti virus software. Theres a section on TT's homepage under Help or something, that tells you what settings your anti software should be set at in order to run TT.

Virus Scan Software doesn't necessarily pick up only viruses. Sometimes it will pick up a program(such as Toontown) that operates like a common virus and will state that it is one. The only reason I see to your software picking it up would be due to it running activeX controllers. Toontown basically looks at your computer files everytime it runs with statistics of your internet connection and also some of your preformance properties(such as computer make, model, and processors(with speeds). Depending on the anti-virus software you use you should be able to make the software ignore Toontown.
I wouldnt recommend deleting the Toontown launcher in the Virus software due to it will bring instability to the program and Toontown will need to be uninstalled then reinstalled.

I'm having the same problem as well.
My anti-virus is picking up a Trojan Horse virus. I have un-installed the program and re-installed and having the same problem.. It's not attached to any other program, it's attached to toontown and I haven't downloaded anything in a LONG time... |
