Big Business' Secret to Defeating the Sound Glitch
First of all, I have no idea what causes the Sound Glitch. However, after observing its behaivior for quite a while, I can share with you some secrets to defeating it. Note that I'm not going to say, "Play without the music," because you must like listening to the music if you're putting up with the music glitch.
THE CAUSE:
The sound glitch is initially caused by the organ in the background of the music stalling when you move from one area to another, causing the music to change. This happens both in the DDL playground and on the DDL streets. It depends heavily on what part of the music is playing when the music stops.
THE EFFECT:
Anybody who's had the glitch (which is practically everybody), knows that this isn't the bad part. The stalling organ in the background can somehow cause other instruments to stall, most notably the ones in the cog battle music and the building music. This causes almost all the instruments to be melded together in an obnoxious "AAAAAAAAH" sound, that will get louder as more stalling instruments are added to it. People used to think that the only way to stop it was to restart Toontown. However, there is a cure.
THE CURE:
Now it's time for Big Business' magical cure for the sound glitch. The cure is to go back to the place in DDL where you originally got the sound glitch -- either the Playground or one of the streets -- and wait around for a minute with the music on. Once the organ in the music starts playing, it will become unstalled, and the whole "AAAAAAAH" will vanish. In the playground, this will happen almost immediately, while in the streets it will happen at the point towards the end when the organ starts playing. The sudden return to sanity is sure to make you shout "Hajleluia!", and I guarantee you'll come to love that single point in the song, even when you're not having the music glitch.
Warning - Perfrom this cure immediately after contracting the music glitch. Failure to do so may make symptoms irreversable. Also, avoid going onto the trolley while suffering from the music glitch. The music on the trolley has been proven to make symptoms permanent
HOW TO AVOID GETTING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE:
In the DDL playground, it seems that only certain pitches of the organ can trigger the sound glitch, although it's near impossible to tell which ones. I've gone in and out of the playground so many times, I sometimes feel like I have some subconscious drive in my brain that tells me when it's safe to go. However, the best way to avoid the sound glitch is to go into your shticker book and turn off the music right before heading through something. Listen carefully, because this can also cause the organ to stall, and if it does, you'll have to turn the music back on, wait a second, then turn it off again and repeat the process until you hear silence. Then you can turn the music back on after you go through.
On the DDL streets, it's much easier to avoid getting the music glitch. The organ only plays at the very end of the music, so just wait for this part to end before going into anything.
